Really nice lunch, and reasonably priced - finished off with a traditional mint tea. The service wasn't fast, but it was friendly, and it's a good place for a working lunch. Will be back!

I ate here not long ago with my wife and daughter. The restaurant is quite conveniently situated on the road through Greenwich, which is a fine place to visit in its own right. We decided to start with some aperitifs and while mum and daughter enjoyed a very satisfactory prosecco each, I was less satisfied when, having ordered a Negroni,... More

We went on a mid week evening and a great thing is that you can park outside the resturant, (after 7pm). Inside the prety restauurant the food was as good Turkish food as I've had outside Turkey an the staff were friendly and helpful. House red wine was good. We had a great evining, all at a very reasonable price

Food here is always great, the staff are really friendly. I've never had a bad time here and the selection of veggie choices is also really good.

I visited with a few friends for dinner and was very happy with the food - I had the kleftiko which was so tender and full of beautiful flavours. The starter bread was warm and soft! Everyone was pleased with their meal and we didn't have to wait long for our mains. Would definitely come here again, great service too!

Chose this restaurant after seeing the tripadvisor ratings and was disappointed. The lunch menu was reasonably priced. However, the cigar borek, whilst tasting fine, were fairly sloppily presented, the lamb guvec was cold in parts and warm in others having not been microwaved for long enough (and by the time this had been heated up properly my wife had finished... I use this restaurant regularly as it is very close to my home. They always welcome us warmly and are very attentive to our needs. The food is traditional Turkish and is great- large portions so beware! They also do a cheap lunchtime menu. I would heartily recommend them.

Needed dinner after running son up to his new flat in Greenwich and before driving back to Sussex, so we found Efes Meze on Trip Advisor. Daunting surroundings on Trafalgar Road - very busy - but easy to park in a side street opposite. Once inside the restaurant, there was very little noise and a very nice feel to the... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
