Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I've been here several times. The food is amazing and the place is cozy and Luigi, the manager, is a lovely italian man. Totally recommend

I visit this restaurant every time I come to London. The food is a healthy selection and home cooked, the price is very reasonable, and things have been this way for 30 years. Corelli's is a wonderful institution.

As you can see by the look of the place it's a simple old fashioned Italian cafe , which has its charm! So put it to the test as just moved to the area.. The latte machiato was actually really good (would go back for...that) and the pasta dish with a vegetable was not bad at all/ for the price . Could do with some Italian music, new cutlery and a good airing... but a part from that it defintely has its charm!!More

This place is nothing fancy and appears as a very humble Italian Rosticceria, with a desperate need of revamp. Although you can order a la carte, the idea is to create your own dish, assembling the food displayed at the counter which, I assume, changes...frequently, according to availability of the day. The presentation is really basic, and all the food is re-heated via microwave. However, the staff is very nice, portions extremely generous, and, most important, the food is really homemade and super tasty. It really looks like you are eating at your grandmother’s place on a Sunday lunch! We finished our meal full and satisfied, paying an affordable bill. Surely there are better Italian restaurants in the area, but I am not sure you can find anything more authentic that Captain Corelli.More

Not sure why this cafe gets such good reviews. It’s overpriced and there was a small selection of meals to choose from. Food is heated up in the microwave before serving. Would recommend giving it a miss.

We have eaten, parmigiana and meatball with tomatoe sauce, fantastic food. These dishes are like my mother cooked them. Rally recommended if you want to taste homemade italian food.

Very welcoming staff, luncheon buffet with most dishes microwaved once you have chosen, reasonable house wine. Somewhat ramshackle interior, taps don't work in gents loo. Useful if you are in the area.

Looking for somewhere for a snack by Battersea park and stumbled across this real find. We ended up having huge lunch- everything freshly made and delicious with very generous portions. Authentic Italian food.

Fabulous menu done for 12 of us to eat after working a long shift at Chelsea RHS Flower show. Brusetta, mozzarella and Tomato,2 lots of Pasta, Gnocchi, and Pizza for £20 a head. Awesome. Just rung them at 9:15pm to say our restaurant has let...us down and they have managed to fit us in to feed us again with a similar menu. We will definitely come again next year during Chelsea week. Cheers from the Purbeck Ice Cream Massive.More

I love this place, you can come and sit by yourself and take in all sorts of characters - all good. What I love about this place is the food. Consistently good, with a homemade feel, breakfast, lunch and dinner. You also have the option...to take out when you're in a rush or if you want to eat later.More

Popped in for a meet and chat and ended up eating some of the delicious looking fresh food cooked everyday for under a tenner. I’ve been coming here for years for a coffee and/or a snack and recommend it if you have had enough of...branded identikit outlets.More

This places used to be good. Not visited in a while and it’s gone down hill rapidly. Tables aren’t clean, cutlery given to me was dirty. Won’t be returning in a hurry which is a shame.

We have known this place for over 20 years - It hasn't changed much...all our kids and extended friends+family have grown up on Pasquale's food. His chefs have come&gone, but the look and taste, the colours and welcome are definitely Corelli's. Like someone else wrote...earlier, it's not a classic restaurant in the formal sense. Rather, a mix of cosy cafeteria, gelateria (not enough ITALIAN flavours, sadly), village kitchen, ice cream van vendors' meeting spot, quirky dive with Italian TV and frequent cardplayers, take your pick I always stop for a cappuccino and chat whenever I pass, parking right in front or around the corner helps. Everyone has their particular coffee order, mine is always PERFECT! Well, almost...More
