A superb alternative to the museum cafe. The staff were helpful and kind and the food being served looked yummy. I only had coffee but it was a very good cappocino..

Cocktails were great and music was nice food was average deffinatly a better bar than restaurant. Menu wasn't as Caribbean as I was hoping never enjoy going somewhere knowing I can cook better.

Sunday afternoon can be quite tricky for the adult diner, but this was a revelation. It is clearly under new management, and it shows. Dim lights, unobtrusive service, and excellent food. I had chicken burger - a BIG piece of fried chicken, and sweet potato fries- just spicy enough and very, very delicious. Too full for desert, but I will... More

Good affordable prices for both food and drinks and both drinks and food are at high standards. The place is buzzing on Thursdays

Warmly greated and shown to our table by a friendly member of staff. The restaurant is furnished and decorated in a very modern style positioned around a massive bar rigth down the centre of the restaurant. All our dishes were well cooked & good quality but alittle on the small side. Cocktails & spirits expensive but wine and beer normal... More

Went there for drinks with colleagues at a company organised do. Was stopped at door and told no trainers allowed (although wearing business suit, so clearly stopping by for drinks after work). Argued with doorman and he relented on trainers. Then had bag searched and told that my bottle of water was not allowed to be brought inside. Didn't have... More

We work in Canary Wharf and had been told that Rum and Sugar now do a Caribbean inspired food menu, so decided to check it out. Of the 9 of us, 7 were from somewhere in the West Indies so were intrigued by the menu of jerk chicken, rice and peas etc. The food was nice, but lacked heat even... More

Was there once with some friends after a visit to the museum. The place is quite cosy and friendly. Unlike other reviews, our waiters were polite and looked happy. I was even more happy to see rhums from Mauritius. I had a coconut mocktail which was refreshing and had fish and chips with a jerk version. I was having doubts... More

I have to tell you guys!, when you go to any restaurant, the service is 50% of your overall experience. This restaurant is well located, comfortable chairs and great decoration (lights, bar in the middle, rum barrels on the side, decorative/functional HVAC pipes and rustic bricks on both wall sides! The food is ok ( I tried the Cajun burger),... More
