A few minutes from the Design Museum, which isn't worth visiting, is the Princess Victoria which sounds like a pub but is a brilliant Tapas restaurant. Really good food and 7 plates between three of us was more than we could eat. Not brilliant service but really great food. This is worth visiting!

I was very happy to have found this place, it was a very nice find, just round the corner from Kensington High Street, in Earls Court Road. To agree with a previous reviewer, it is more of a wine bar than pub, although the name and the exterior suggest a traditional English pub, but that was actually a positive -... More

Perfect place to celebrate a 21st Birthday dinner - the upstairs room and bar looked beautiful and provided the perfect setting for the occasion. The food was delicious and plentiful, the staff were very helpful, but most of all, the manager, Susie, made the whole process of organising and selecting a menu, incredibly easy. It was a great night and... More

Booked the upstairs room for a 21st bday party, sit down meal for about 25 guests. Was a fantastic night! Food was amazing, table and room looked beautiful and staff were great. Susie, the manager, is very friendly and was very flexible with the menu taking into account food requirements/allergies and allowed us to bring our own music, decorations and... More

Food is delicious - a mix of spanish tapas and typical pub food. Great lunch deals and prosecco sunday (unlimited prosecco for 3 hours). I live just round the corner so visit very often and the manager Susie is incredibly friendly and so accommodating. We've often asked her to make us a couple of tortillas to take away for an... We hired their top room for a private function across two evenings. On both nights the food and the staff were exceptional. Everyone had a wonderful time.

The manager is very pleasant. Nice bar food, has a Spanish twist, I believe the manager is Spanish. Comfy seats. Quiet laid back atmosphere, lots of Windows so quite light. Seats on the pavement down on quiet-ish side street. Only had bar snacks so cannot comment on their food really; but the Padron peppers are great! More wine bar feel... More

We decided to try this pub, off Earl's Court Road / High Street Kensington for an early evening meal before going to the Holland Park Opera (a short walk). It is a superb place- friendly service from our waitress upstairs, speedy food, and an excellent choice of tapas; We tried the meat board, the cheese board, artichoke hearts, calamari and... More

Found this hidden gem off the high street via a google search. Not quite a pub, but more of a bar & lounge area with tables. There is upstairs seating, but we never ventured there. We decided on getting a selection of tapas to share, which was very scrumptious. We've decided we'll visit again as we want to try food... More

We held our staff do at the Princess Victoria. We arranged it at the last minute but Susie , the manager was exceptionally helpful and friendly. 20 of us has drinks and tapas in the upstairs room having first enjoyed happy hour. The food was unanimously thought to be delicious and a fun night was had by all.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
