Went here for a private function downstairs. The staff were pleasant and the food for the party was delicious. Access straight onto the canal side for drinks outside too. Unfortunately many of the customers from the bar upstairs thought it was fine to ignore the...More

This friendly and traditional North London pub is a great destination at any time, but particularly when the sun is out. Set on the canal, 7 mins walk from Angel tube, it's as good a place as any to enjoy the weather over a drink...More

There is seating on the canal path level as well as upstairs with a balcony overlooking the canal, so a really good position which makes it very popular. The menu is quite limited as you would expect from a canal-side pub and the food being...More

I never post reviews but I had to for this "nice pub with great canal views". I turned up for drinks with friends and opted to have dinner as well, despite the rather pricey food menu. I asked a "regular" member of staff for a...More

Cosy place, nice atmosphere. I generally don't like pubs, I totally dislike the smell of heavy beer and drunk rude people around me. But every time I'm in a pub I prefer to acknowledge that I am with friends and that's the most important. I...More

Firstly it is advisable to book in advance. This place is popular and for good reason. We went for a sharing platter of cured meats and pickles which fitted the bill perfectly.

Description
The Narrowboat is a hidden gem and the one and only pub situated directly on Regent's Canal in Islington. A beautiful pub tucked away from the hustle and bustle for those who enjoy relaxing with friends and family. We have a fantastic range of cask ales and craft beers and spirits, as well as a beautiful selection of fine wines. Our food is seasonal and fresh with some amazing British classics and a few modern inventions of our own.
