Very nice though with its long hall. Pleasantly busy and prompt service. I like Sam Smiths bitter and at £3.10 good value in Holborn Chancery Lane tube almost outside Although it looks and sounds medieval it's mainly 1920s.

Absolutely the best pub in London. Fantastic history, beautiful traditional pub with fantastic pub food and pints. Try the chocolate beer mixed 2:1 with the cherry beer, DELICIOUS! This pub is an extension of your living room...a MUST DO while in London!

Have been here a few times so chose it as a place to celebrate a 75th birthday meal after a day in London with the family. Everything very pleasant including the food. A good selection of "pub food" and very reasonable prices. Unfortunately my son was taken ill just as we had ordered our food and was told in a... More

A pint of Sam Smiths was £3.10. There was nothing wrong with the beer, it was good. Unless you go to Wetherspoons you will not get cheaper round about, and you won't get a Wetherspoons with character like this.. If you want to pay £4.50 or more for a pint of some fancy craft beer and prattle on about the... More

Nice pub but unfortunately has fallen in the hands of Samuel smith brewry! Just like a lot of all the nice historical pubs. Therefore the beer is rubbish, you get no choice other than 3 beers brewed by them. Best to stay away hopefully they will then go bust and we all get our pubs back where we have choice... More

This pub is great for soaking up the London atmosphere. Decked out in all wood with giant barrels along the top. The beer was good the food was good. They have private booths with old photos and magazine clippings. One of the best pubs in London. Go check it out.

This is a great pub which is deceptively large on the inside. The beer is great with lots of unusual bitter and lagers. The atmosphere is also great it has a great buzz.

It is a very nice and cosy pub. Nice food and huge portion of dessert. 😊 The beer selection is very good, and pub food is reasonable priced.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Not too busy but managed a booth seat! Great pub and nice bar staff! Lots of displays of barrels and steeped in history! Great find I highly recommend:)

I like the fact that they brew it's on beer. Daddy lager it's very easy to drink and relatively cheap. Downstairs they have a wine cellar as well.

Thank Catalina G
