Went to this new restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were able to sit outside on the small patio. The food was exceptionally good (we all agreed) and the staff were delightful and informative about the dishes, most of which were new to us. Really pleasant atmosphere.

Gurmani is slightly off the beaten track in Wood Green, but it is well worth finding. We booked a relatively early slot for our dinner, and the restaurant has clearly a very good 'word of mouth following since it quickly filled, with a very mixed clientele.
It was our first meal in a Georgian restaurant and we were gently guided through by a very helpful waitress. We enjoyed all of it and our only regret was we didn't try the dumplings which the table next door clearly thought was a highlight.
The whole evening was a complete pleasure in a lovely laid back atmosphere.
Two things which you might miss were the lovely walnut salad and the excellent amber wine.
Wood Green has a number of interesting restaurants from differenet parts of the world but I definitely recommend you seek Gurmani out

We were both curious to try Gurmani because of the outstanding customer reviews. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly owner. The place is small but beautifully decorated and spotless. We ordered cold Meze, a selection of the 4 vegetable Pkhalis, Khachapuri bread, Khinkali dumplings and the baby chicken in walnut and garlic sauce. Every single dish was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, my favorite was the chicken. The sauce was outstanding. We would have loved to try one of the desserts, but due to the amount of food we had it was impossible. So we just had Cappucino , which was also very good. We will definitely come back.

Small, cosy restaurant with soothing music. Food was delicious. Our first time trying Georgian food. We are pleasantly surprised by the food that was obviously cooked with love.. Bread was soooo good. Pork was tender and the sauce was amazingly good. Mushrooms were fresh and cooked to the right texture. Lamb stew was soft, tender and tasty.

A totally delightful surprise. I have never previously eaten Georgian food, but George was so informative and his mother, Irma is such an outstanding cook, that I had a delightful evening. Between the four of us, we tried a range of starters and main courses. The four mixed starters were so pretty and tasty. How do they make simple chicken taste so delicious? The cheese boat is the ultimate fondue without frustration. The desserts were delicious. The restaurant was spotless as were the toilets. There was easy parking in the evening.

Gurmani Cafe offers a taste of Georgia that's hard to resist! The khachapuri was a highlight, and the warm hospitality added to the experience. A bit more variety in the dessert menu would make it perfect.

Unfriendly grumpy staff having an argument between them. Overpriced food that has not much to do with authentic Georgian food. And the Honey cake was just three bits of dry pastry poured over with cream and honey!! Very disappointed! PS been to Georgia and to every Georgian restaurant in London so know what I’m talking about!

What a wonderful place to eat . We celebrated my friends birthday, 4 of us. Ordered different food.Everything ,from starters to georgian brandy and wine was fantastic. Not something very fancy, but cosy and very clean place. It’s family restaurant,so they are trying to do their best. And you can see results. Coffee also was very good. Portions were quite big, we were so full up, it was no space in our stomachs for the desserts😊, so I can not tell about them . But I am almost convinced that they are also delicious. We felt like we ate proper homemade grandma food.
This place is so close to Turnpike Lane station , but a bit in the hidden corner,so probably many people don’t know it.Other wise I believe people would be queuing there. Forgot to say ,that prices also reasonable.
So my outcome:100 percent recomend this place, you will never regret.
At the end I want to say big thank you for our delishious meal and I wish all the very best to this restaurant family business.♥️

Comfortable informal atmosphere.
Fabulous food.
Excellent value.
Nice service.
I give it a four as we weren't greeted on entry and they changed our booking - the woman who rang was, polite but charmless.
The food was, second to none
Wine was good too
Will be going back soon

I was missing Georgian food so much! This place is magical, from the excellent service to the excellent cuisine. We sincerely loved the khachapuri. Would love to see some veggie khinkali, maybe stuffed with mushrooms! The price was just right, and the red wine and the spirits were on another level. Definitely recommend.
