Location and contact

The Quality Chop House has a long history as a provider of hospitality. Once a working men’s ‘eating house’ it offered nourishment and respite for the weary. It is in this spirit that we’d like to welcome you back through our doors. We are now offering three different dining experiences in surroundings reflecting the beauty and history of The Quality Chop House. The first is our Dining Room, For lunch the menu is simple, small and set. For dinner, we want to feed you. Give us your coat, pull up a pew (quite literally) and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll be offering a 5 course set menu, a progressive feast of our favourite things. You can pick the bottle (but we’ll have some magnums open to

Started out with a drink in the excellent wine bar attached to the restaurant, the range of wines available were very interesting, with esoteric and eclectic wines available along with classic and well know styles. The restaurant itself was very warm, comforting and relaxing, although...More

Image and website over sell this place. Obviously some history here but waited 1hr 15 mins for food. Very expensive for what we got. Would not recommend or go again.

Went for Sunday roast and was not disappointed at all. Many places in London serve average Sunday roasts, but the QCH was one of the best roasts I've eaten in London. Great service, lovely wine and well cooked quality ingredients. We picked the 3 course...More

Went to the Quality Chop House in Farringdon with some colleagues for our Christmas lunch. We ate from the normal lunch menu. We shared some appetisers: - the game tea - essentially a rich meaty broth served in a tea cup - certainly different and...More

Of course not the best place for veggies or vegans but also, atmosphere-wise, no longer the unusual outlier that it once was. Somehow lacking in pizzazz. Was a shame.

Excellent wines, considerate service and some really good food. The game pie was next level, the olive oil ice cream mind blowing, and the confit potatoes dependably delicious.

Interesting restaurant on the Farringdon Road. Wasnt really sure what it reminded me of to start with as its a mix of backgrounds in terms of the building and decor. Certainly a little quirky and made a refreshing difference. We were in one of the...More

The restaurant was recommended by a friend and I decided to bring my parents for dinner. Food was very good, I had the mallard, very well cooked (it is not easy to cook wild game in the right way) and very tasty. My mum has...More

Very nice flavour to the food served by pleasant staff in a good atmosphere but I hated the cramped table and the cold food. There was no pleasure to be had at all. A cold dry Yorkshire pudding the size of a small hat just...More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
