So disappointed in this place. A group of us had dinner here and I just couldn't love it as I'd expected to. We're real foodies and are adventurous with our food experiences. Service from the gentleman manager was not warm but was efficient in a...More

Had some of the best Lamb of my life in this lovely restaurant. The confit potatoes are also not to be missed - though I reckon they're also probably not to be eaten more than once every year!

We dined here recently and even though the table was very cramped for 6, the food was very good but the whole night was spoiled as we had to listen to a very rowdy table nearby who the staff should have asked them to keep...More

Wonderful small restaurant with lots of character specializing in high quality meats. Somewhat expensive but worth the price to enjoy something special. Good choice of mid-to-higher range wines. Attentive and friendly service and quiet enough for conversations.

Lovely little restaurant. The butchers is next door and I believe provides all the meat. This can only be a good start. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Happily not too busy but enough people to create a happy chilled atmosphere. I would place the...More

Have visited twice in the past two weeks and both time was totally blown away by the quality of the food. Anywhere that matches this level must be very good indeed. Superlative charcuterie, perfectly cooked meat and delicious puddings. Great wine list too with lots...More

The Quality Chop House is the neighbourhood restaurant I wish I had. A friend and I headed here last Friday night for a catch-up and absolutely smashed our faces into three courses of deliciousness. Walking into an absolutely buzzing and beautiful room, I was greeted...More

Have been wanting to visit here for a while since change of ownership and, despite a full house, we were lucky enough to get a walk-in for dinner. Our host was friendly and gracious, the service was attentive and relaxed and the food... Well it...More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

The Quality Chop House has a long history as a provider of hospitality. Once a working men’s ‘eating house’ it offered nourishment and respite for the weary. It is in this spirit that we’d like to welcome you back through our doors. We are now offering three different dining experiences in surroundings reflecting the beauty and history of The Quality Chop House. The first is our Dining Room, For lunch the menu is simple, small and set. For dinner, we want to feed you. Give us your coat, pull up a pew (quite literally) and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll be offering a 5 course set menu, a progressive feast of our favourite things. You can pick the bottle (but we’ll have some magnums open to pour you a glass while deciding). Our Wine bar & Shop is open all day for on- and off-premises enjoyment. Our wines are fine but our prices are fair. A hand-picked selection from some serious cellars without the serious price tag. And we’ll have charcuterie, cheese and smaller plates on hand too. For tastings, feastings and meetings we offer our Upstairs - A private room for up to 10 people.
