What a find. A must for food lovers everywhere. The selection of pickles, jams, honey and other such delights is eye watering. Sorted our Christmas presents for this year. We came back for breakfast on the last day beans on toast and a sausage roll. Was...just lovely. TOH said best beans she has had in along time. Make sure you visit this Aladdin's cave of food.More

Whist everything around us is rapidly changing (not for the better) it’s just great to know that this little gem never changes. It doesn’t matter what you fancy you can be sure of getting it here. Their soup is to die for. Especially the goulash....You can have just a chunk of cheese with toast or a delicious baguette or salad. Honestly this place is SIMPLY THE BEST. The staff are just charming and so friendly. We feel privileged to have found Paul Rothe, those that haven’t are missing a trick.More

My wife and I had coronation chicken baguettes to eat in. They were delicious. We haven't sat inside for months due to lockdown but thankfully this institution hasn't changed one bit.

Tucked away at a stones throw from Selfridges and Oxford Street Paul Rothe & Sons is a gem, a slice of old school London and a treasure trove of quintessential British produce. It reminds me of a slice of colonial/expat pomp and circumstance. You will...be hard pressed to find a more complete collection of all Tiptree has to offer with their full range proudly displayed, the mind boggles not only at the cornucopia of different jams the preserves made from the most original ingredients, even simple strawberry jam there are countless varieties of. If you are looking for the perfect jam to accompany your every British afternoon tea this is the place to go. Their range of condiments is heavenly for foodies yet equally Paul Rothe & Son is perfect for original gift shopping. The deli counter is is bursting with all things nice and fabulous sandwiches are made to order. It always wonderful when the options are too numerous to choose from. There are a couple of tables inside which prove the perfect hidden nook, where immediately you feel part of the fabric and as if you’ve been let into a secret no one else knows about. This is only complimented by the friendly and knowledgable team on hand. You would be a fool to just take a pic of the outside for Instagram and miss out on the delicacies inside.More

The best sandwich in London portions are far too generous. Great value for money for one of the most expensive areas in the UK.

Came here for some lunch as my partners favourite was shut (nincomsoup) bloody Covid! and I found Paul Rothe and son online. Nice area of London in Marylebone v close to oxford street. Old fashioned little place unchanged for decades but that suited us fine....Friendly service. We both had the chicken and veg soup 1 of 2 choices for that day, and we shared a small French stick. Served very quickly at our table and the soup I thought was absolutely delicious. My partner was nt as overwhelmed and thought it old fashioned like grannies soup. She prefers all the new types with fancy ingredients Moroccan lentil or something like, but for me it was delicious one of the best I ve had. The portions were very small though and could easily have had twice as much so the option to buy a larger size would have been good. Bread was nt particularly crusty which would have enhanced it a little for me too. Price we thought was a little steep for what was a small portion as we paid £10.50 for the 2 soups and bread to share. Id expect to pay circa £7-8 tops for what was essentially a bit of soup ad bread. You could blame overheads but that place must have been paid off 90 years ago as its been in the family over a 100 years I believe. I would defiantly have gone back to try a different soup had it been a bit cheaper and or a bigger portion. Still though it was nice.More

I absolutely love this place for how unique, specialised and personal it is. The inside decor is wonderful and their range of produce equals no other in London.

This is an absolute gem. I have had to visit London several times recently and only found the fabulous deli on my last visit, it serves the most delicious soup and sandwiches. It is spotlessly clean, full of unusual varieties of pickles and chutneys and...the staff are just so helpful..... great little place.More

I’m a regular customer and was rather upset today when I asked for my usual sandwich and the lady serving me rolled her eyes a tutted. Not the sort of response I’d expect. Usually a nice place to go

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it
