One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve been to in many years. The detail, the attention and the quality of the preparation of every dish is remarkable. The husband and wife team are clearly passionate of their work and the result is self evidently one...of the best experiences of Japanese cuisine in London. Only 10 seats at the counter make for a very enjoyable feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Service is impeccable and while the eight food servings take about two hours to complete, all is perfectly timed as all food preparations are done right in front of you. Well worth returning to experience all over again.More

Words cannot even begin to describe how good the food and the whole Roji experience is. All I can say is you have to go to experience it for yourself. Absolutely faultless.

Incredible place for Japanese food lovers, the most interesting omakase we had in London. We went for the sake pairing option and it was absolutely the right choice. Both dishes and sake were outstanding and served in beautiful ceramics too. It is very impressive that...all ingredients are sourced locally (apart from the rice I think). Loved the whole menu, but some dishes deserve a separate mention, in my opinion the scallops and char were divine. Great nigiri selection too, of which I will never forget the lobster, red mullet and otoro (tuna). The intimate setting with only ten seats around the counter adds to the charm and authenticity of the experience. It also allows to talk to the owners who explain the dishes and are happy to answer any questions. Service is very attentive and welcoming. What an evening, we are already looking forward to going back! I would give one more star if I could.More

Having lived for many years in Asia I can report there exist very few places that whisk you away, that truly dupe your senses into believing your coordinates have changed. In the face of Nippon not being back to fully open, Roji can help fill...those left bereft of the artistry, provenance, tranquility and dedication it takes to making sushi par excellence. I was instantly transported. Every detail feels authentic; the decor, the sake list, the crockery and especially the service. And when it comes to the food, it is simply a slice of mastery. To witness every dish prepared in front of you, to hear the dynamic Roji duo talk with unwavering passion about their creations. To hear stories of how the ingredients made voyage to plate. To be allowed, just for a few fleeting moments, to imagine you are back in Japan. That, to me, was enough to compel me to write. This is somewhere special. I was spirited away.More

Sensational new Japanese omakase 10-seat restaurant in the heart of town. Chef Tamas and chef Tomoko (a lovely husband and wife team) took us through 14 incredible courses all using seasonal ingredients paired with home-made sauces, marinades and the best pickled beets I’ve ever eaten....We did the sake pairing which I also highly recommend. Stand out dishes were the tempura scallop and the lobster sushi. Simply divine. I highly recommend Roji if you love high quality Japanese food and want to share the experience with someone special.More

So I went to Roji. I knew a few things about the background of the two chefs Tamas and Tomoko, so my expectations were pretty high! But this two amazing talents just exceeded all of them! The amount of knowledge and care they put into...every single piece they presented just simply mind and tong blowing! And if it’s not enough, the way they carried out the whole experience was so smooth, it was very pleasing to see such a synchronised kitchen! (Not a surprise if you know they are a couple) Thank you Roji team for this perfect night! It was the best omakase experience I had outside of japan!🙏More

The atmosphere was intimidate with only ten seats overlooking the incredible chefs working. The food was magical, there is no other word for it! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. We were introduced to each course with information on where the produce...was sourced, which I love. And the staff were very attentive and friendly, we were very well looked after. I hope to come back again soon!More

Incredible meal. Highlights for me were the crab cake soup, the eel and the otoro sushi. Intimate setting, and the staff were very attentive. The waiter noticed I was left handed and gave me a special spoon just for lefties. Will definitely be back!
