We took my parents here for a long lunch after visiting The Dickens Museum a few doors down. It's a lovely old Bloomsbury pub with a great buzz and delicious food - we could have stayed here all afternoon!

I could write a review just about the stylish décor or superbly tasty food (OMG, I am not a salad guy but, boy, I would have the Grilled Chicory salad any day) or the attentive service (the host offered to give me an umbrella when...I left with the rain coming down). But what is exceptional is their private dining area. With the new normal of remote working, our company has decided to not even have physical offices. Instead, we use the money saved on rent, etc. to meet up at a nice place in London periodically. All of the even modest hotels in Fitzrovia area (most convenient for most attendees) wanted to charge £500 for a boring, fluorescent lit conference room without windows (and then a lot extra for any extra refreshments). I figured there must be something better and stumbled upon Lady Ottline. Lady Ottline offers a very comfortable and attractive private dining room complete with projector and retractable screen as well as strong wifi. And they don’t charge anything for it. They only require that you have a minimum spend of £50 per person. So for our 5 people meeting, the cost of the day was half the hotel day rate AND we got a sumptuous, gourmet lunch accompanied by a generous rounds of pints through the afternoon. We have now dubbed Lady Ottoline our official satellite London “office”.More

I travel to London a few times a year for work, and my trips are never complete without a visit to The Lady Ottoline. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is tucked into a residential neighborhood in Bloomsbury so it has a...feel of a place that only locals visit. It is cozy and warm and the upstairs dining room serves truly gourmet food, with a menu that varies. While the food is high end, the vibe is very casual and friendly and fun. I highly recommend it.More

First class roast dinners. Delicious selection of vegetables and meets. Courteous, attentive service.

The meal was at best average but the service was rude and slow. We arrived at 7.30 and went straight to the table. Desert arrived at 10.45pm and as we were served they were closing in 10 minutes. Three of the team had to leave...for trains before the main course. Downstairs looked busy and fun, don't go for the food or service.More

Went to the Lady Ottoline for a client lunch yesterday. The pub is tucked away from the main routes in the area and is not widely known about so a great place for a quiet chat. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the table...service was attentive but not overly so. The house red wine was excellent and my colleagues enjoyed their ales. The menu was simple with excellent choices. We enjoyed the home made pies. Definitely worth a visit.More

Not sure what is going on here but we booked a table online for 4pm today so that we could meet up with a friend. She was making a special journey to meet us. Bank details were required for the booking, which was then was...confirmed. Luckily we walked past around lunchtime and noticed it was closed. We tried to call on the phone but there was no answer. We’ve therefore cancelled online and had a confirmation of that … we are now trying to book somewhere else and because of the short notice we are struggling to find somewhere. This is the second time the Lady Ottoline has messed up a booking for us … last chance I’m afraid. Such a shame. It used to be greatMore

What a fabulous place, I had searched for a pub near where I was eating later that day and what a find! This is such a lovely pub, we just had drinks but it also has a dining room. The building is so beautiful and...the staff were so friendly, the loos are brilliant, all restored beautifully! I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely visit again when I am in London!More

I love this little pub. Delicious food and nice local atmosphere. And the staff are attentive and friendly. It Is my favorite in the area but just off the main grid.

We had a table to watch the recent England v Scotland European Championship fixture and had a great time. We were well looked after by the staff and found the drinks selection very good. I would not hesitate to recommend this pub to friends and...would definitely come back again. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. 10 out of 10. Danny JamesMore
