I visited here for a pint whilst in London for the day. A Traditional London Pub, and the pint was a good choice.

Brought a couple of friends from NZ for a drink. Immediately all of the 'locals' looked disapprovingly as we walked in. Bar manager and landlady were equally rude. Ultimately an unfriendly pub and not one I would recommend. Plenty of other places to give your...More

The most rudest bar manager I've ever had the unfortunate to meet, staff unfriendly, awful smelly toilets, the ladies didn't even have a toilet seat. Walk past there are so many other good pubs nearby.

Awful, smelly and dirty. Staff unfriendly, drinks over priced. Food prices to fleece tourists. Toad in hole as an example was £11.50. London prices but cheap produce.

Overcrowded dirty pub. Could be so good with a great location but scruffy, rude staff treat customers without respect. There's plenty of other pubs nearby, walk passed.

We were running around London trying to get a Leeds football match on Sky on a Saturday lunchtime. To be fair they did make an effort to put the game on. The place is pretty scruffy, service isn't great & bar food is average. Leeds...More

We stopped in for a quick pint and lunch and I wish we had kept going. I would not recommend the place for food. If you are just looking for a quick place to grab a drink - go for it.

Traditional Pub for one totally wrong reason On the positive *The bar is centred - the Victorians knew how to build pubs, and there is a listed tiled mural as you enter from the eastern door. Negative *The person I belive to be the landlady...More

Popped in for a quick beer. There is a decent selection and the atmosphere is good enough. However there was a fairly impatient staff member who almost screams at you when she sees you walk in, uncertain what to order. Not very welcoming!

My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop in for a beer. The place was very interestingly decorated. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple drinks. We didn't order food, but just rested after walking for a few miles....More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
