We had a special birthday celebration and eight of us dined at The Escoffier Room which is part of the Vincent Rooms. We had the taster menu which was excellent value for seven courses. The theme was "London" so we enjoyed among other things a peasouper as well as references to "apples and pears" (stairs) and London gin flavoured jelly.... More

The food was nice if not outstanding and the service friendly. The service could have been slicker given that it is a student training opportunity. The students were not familiar with the menu and surprisingly there is no formal opportunity to provide feedback. Good value for money.

What an amazing almost hidden gem! Enthusiastic and talented young students who will end up in the serious restaurant world. We visited Escoffier Room for a 7 course tasting menu lunch which was faultless and brilliant….. and only £27.50!! Amazing value for food of this calibre and sophistication. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian set menus from which you mix and match. Were... More

Was warned that the Year 1 students were in charge but other than tiny inconsistencies everything was spot on. Squid with chorizo beautifully cooked as was rabbit leg. Super pud. Wines great value. Lovely place to go.

What a great place. We meet every three months and lunch at various restaurants. This is up with the best of them and better then one Michelin stared restaurant we have visited and the staff are still learning! Very well crafted tasting menu well served by smiling staff. Excellent wines and all at very reasonable prices. Asked for our thoughts... More

My colleagues and I lunched at the Brasserie last Thursday. We were pleasantry surprised with the friendliness of the service - provided by students - and mostly happy with our food (one of the best bread baskets in town). Prices are moderate, including wine list. It is a shame that they only open during term time as the restaurant offers... More

We visited this venue for the third time. We had the lunchtime tasting menu which was cooked to perfection. The food is cooked and served by students of the Westminster College. The service can be less than first rate, as the people are learning on the job, but the servers are all friendly, efficient and willing and it is a... More

Smart, professional service in a really friendly atmosphere. And the food was excellent - this was a really enjoyable dining experience. If you're a fan of sorbets - the passion fruit one is a must !

I took a friend to the Escoffier Room as a late Christmas present. She'd never been before... what a fantastic impression the young staff and their cooking made! Today the menu had an Irish theme, very creative, the team designed and served an exquisite fine dining experience using lovely ingredients from the Emerald Isle. She left raving about the place,... As befitting St Patrick's Day, the seven course 'tasting menu' had a consistent Irish theme. The fare presented was delightful throughout. My table colleagues have been feasting in the Escoffier Room for a number of years and while, just occasionally, the service can be nervous and hesitant (understandably depending on the student year and their limited experience) the quality of... Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
