Tasty dinner in Kensington. The neighborhood is a nice area. The place can get extremely busy on a Friday night. Most tables after 8pm were reserved. They had a pretty good selection of cask ales and the food was really tasty. I had the fish and chips. The fish was quality fish and the chips were really tasty. My sister... More

I came with a group, so I was able to try a variety of dishes. We had the cod and triple fried chips (boiled, mashed, then fried), which looked bad, but was actually excellent. Chips were great too. My wife's salad was excellent and the kids' hot dogs were huge. Service was miserable, but the courtyard was delightful. If the... More

Went to London to do a pub walk using the Camra guide , called in to The Windsor Castle about 1.30pm, it was very busy at the time serving lunches and there wasn't really anywhere to sit if you were just having a drink. We had a look at the menu and they were offering 2 course or 3 course... More

Made a reservation in advance for 5 - 4 adults and 1 kid - to have Sunday roast at the Windsor Castle. We were immediately seated in the back at a table next to a window out to the back garden area where there was a large crowd enjoying pitchers of Pimms and beer. We all ordered various Sunday roasts... More

Recently went in here. Stood at the bar for about 20-30 minutes and was completely ignored, not by accident, they purposely ignored me. Didn't even acknowledge me once. They served many people who were at the bar after me, including 2 people who had just walked in and stood at the bar for about a minute. When this was pointed... More

We went to this pub recently , it was busy - my son waited to be served for nearly 20 minutes and during that time, he was totally ignored. The bar staff served people who came after him and no one even acknowledged his presence. We walked out in disgust after we couldn't even catch the eye of any of... More

Wow, Kieran was the most amazing waiter and bar man we have ever ever experienced. His knowledge and well mannered demeanour was incredible. Thank you Windsor for an amazing evening

This pub is full of real character. A traditional pub with wooden features and small doors separating the different rooms. The food was great, classic pub menu but the food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was very nice, charming and always asking us if we wanted to order anything else. I will definitely be visiting again for food and... More

A three-minute walk from Bayswater Road / Holland Park Avenue and the whole Notting Hill high street scene, this quaint, cramped pub is a fine place to hide out for an hour or three -- full of dark-paneled nooks and crannies, and catering to a local crowd, not tourists tumbling off the Big Bus. Very comfortable and welcoming, but you... More

I have lived near The Windsor Castle in Kensington for more than 20 years and often taken or sent my visitors from abroad to experience a wonderful, characterful pub with good service and food. This week I took some family members visiting from the US and it was all fine until the end. We had eaten loads that day and... More
