We stumbled across this pub in the ultra modern Horselydown area. This was a real find with real ales. You step in through the doors and it is like stepping back in time. The ales are varied and reasonably priced. The dark wood interior creates a lovely warm feeling, there is also an old piano in the snug, sadly not... More

Great Pub with a small beer garden lots of different beers from a small independent British Brewery (Samuel Smiths). Barman was friendly and the crowds of London seems to have missed this little gem. We had a great refreshing Sunday afternoon.

Stumbled across this pub while avoiding the mass crowds. Really helpful staff slowing me to try different beer before buying and real value for money considering it's position. Well worth a visit to this quirky pub.

We came across this gem of a pub after walking across the Tower Bridge. The kitchen hadn't opened yet so we enjoyed a cold drink before being escorted up to the dining room by the friendly bar tender :) Our waitress was also the owner and though I've regrettably forgotten her name, I haven't forgotten how friendly and welcoming she... Called in the Anchor Tap for the 2nd time and I've got to say that it's my favourite pub in London. Lovely home cooked food and the best value, best tasting beer for miles. Friendly staff. Can't wait to call in again.

Called in after a visit to Tower Bridge. Great traditional English pub, bar downstairs and food served upstairs. We had burger & halloumi wrap, good old fashioned pub grub. Good value and if you are looking for a good lunch spot, this is the place to go rather than the other overrated lunch spots in the area, so my best... More

This place has a cozy little bar downstairs and a dining room upstairs that makes you feel like you're having tea in someone's living room. The food, drink, and service are all good.

Wonderful to find an old fashioned traditional pub, great beers, friendly service and great quality food. It's a real find and worth seeking out. They were so friendly. We loved jumbo fish finger sarnies, salt beef sarnies and loaded nachos. Served with mega chips, checked food was okay, made sure we were happy, great value too. Go visit!

My wife and I popped in here for a glass of beer and a sandwich the other day and found it quite pleasant and charming too. The staff were friendly and the prices were fare. Would certainly call in again when in London.
