Well-known as a reliable real ale boozer just a stagger away from either Kings Cross or Euston station. Externally quite attractive in a whitewashed cottage style with many-panelled window panes and the pub name proudly stated across the front of the building. On an early Thursday evening in November, it was pretty gloomy inside and despite a smattering of people... More

I went to the Somer's Town Coffee House a few days ago for a company dinner. It was the first time for me and for my colleagues too and I have to say we were all quite impressed! We ate in one of the nice and cosy rooms upstairs, we had great British food and great dedicated service, even if... More

The only saving grace was the pleasantness of the staff, apologetic for the otherwise poor experience.

We had a team away day here using the upstairs facilities which are nice. However the lunch was disappointing. I had the fishfinger sandwich and asked for the chips to be replaced with salad. The fishfinger was mostly batter and the salad dressing was very salty. Such a pity as the ambience is good as is the location.

I've reviewed this pub MANY times before with nothing but praise and 5 points! How very sad that it has either changed hands or the previous staff have all been removed and replaced by complete amateurs! For many years our group of ex-colleagues (and some who are still working from a nearby office) have met here with good service and... More

Booked for 5 people for my mum's birthday. On each of the roast dinners the Yorkshire pudding was cold so we asked for extra gravy to warm them up - but this too was luke warm. They were good portion sizes of meat but on each plate only 2 small roast potatoes and about a spoonful of each veg. On... More

Its a typical old back street pub just 5 mins from euston or kings cross . Serves coffee and food . For me its ok , its not amazing and not dreadful . If you looking for a quick pint or cheap eat close to Euston road away from a chain , might be for you .

Have eaten mains here before so was keen to try the tapas. Happy to say very good. The chorizo dish with big chunks of toasted sourdough was a real star. Portions are good and prices keen. There's always a good vibe at this place. Really good range of beers and lagers. My default bar when tin the Euston/St Pancras area.

Had the sense to book for 3 people for myself and elderly couple visiting from Australia. It was a nice night and a frisay so I understand that it was busy, but we were seated on the ground floor where it was noisy as heck. Couldn't really hear each other. Asked to be moved but they were booked out apparently.... More
