We went to Gouqi for a meal the weekend after our wedding to celebrate. We had a wonderful meal - we had the salt and pepper prawn and squid starter, Signature Roast Duck, Spicy Crispy Chicken and the stir fried ho fun with angus beef....Everything was really tasty. Our favourites were probably the starter, the duck and the beef noodles. We then had a dessert platter which was wonderful. Our favourites were probably the chocolate, and the yuzu. The service was really great - Michael was a very attentive waiter and knew the menu inside out and helped us with recommendations. Amy - the Head of Pasty did a wonderful job with the desserts and came and said hello! We had a really lovely time - we were sat in a very nice booth, which was really cosy and comfortable and didn't feel stuffy like some fine dining restaurants. We went for the 8 course tasting menu on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was quiet but the ambiance was still lovely and classy. All 8 courses were delicious and it was just the right amount of food to feel full but not overly so....The wine pairings with each course made sense and were well explained and beautifully presented in various glasses. An absolute standout was the XO king crab dim sum, so unbelievably sweet from the freshness of the crab and well balanced with other flavours. Bradley looked after us and was keen to understand our opinion on the food, even showing us some videos of the ingredients which was interesting. Service was friendly and very efficient. Overall a great experience. We saw the table next to us order the roast duck which I’d definitely like to try next time.More

Very authentic peking duck, it’s almost just as good as the one back in Hong Kong, we absolutely enjoyed it. The double-boiled duck soup was rich and full of interesting ingredients. Bradly’s service was top notch, highly attentive and friendly. We’ll certainly visit again!

Wowsers! Saw the main Chef on Sunday Brunch...and next time in London I said we must go. Sooo glad we did; had the 2 course lunch and it was fab. Bradley our waiter was also lovely. Thoroughly recommended :)

This is a good Chinese restaurant that offers luxury cuisine and great service (thanks Eglantino and the rest of the team). I will start by saying that the selection of wines by the glass is really good. I had a very nice dim sum starter...and fried john dory with chilies as a main course (I was recommended the steamed seabass which in retrospective would have been a better choice, but the decision was all mine). During dinner, I appreciated the context on the dishes, the restaurant and the cuisine style offered by the team. If you can afford it (I can afford it once a year, not more), do come to Gouqi.More

Just amazing!! The duck salad to start with was fantastic as was of course the Peking Duck. Overall this is one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in London. Thank you to Niel and Alan for taking such good care of us. Cant...wait to be back!More

Amazing place, from the lady at the entrance to the gentle man that served us, Eglantino, jovial and cool, the manager ensured we were ok, will definitely come back again..
