Went here with 2 friends for dinner. Staff were friendly & attentive throughout the meal. We had the Mezze platter (for 2 persons) to share between 3 of us as a starter - great food & big enough for all 3 of us. For mains we each had one of Fattets, which were overall good but we all found the... More

The meal is good, and it is OK for a quick dinner or lunch. The prices are also OK, and proportionate to the amount you get. The place is tidy and clean.

A great place. Another Friday lunchbwith friends and colleagues. Mezze platters looked fab but I chose the Fattet Lamb Libbeh and wasn't disappointed at all. Staff were friendlyvand the Lebanese beer was surprisingly good. Prices were average but overall value for money was good.

I love this place! I've been to a few now and they are all consistently good. Try the Aubergine Moussaka. Unlike any other moussaka I've ever had but amazing!!!

Last weekend my brother was visiting me and we decided to check out Comptoir as he never eaten there, I did in the past. Again the food is just perfect, exactly what we felt like, very fresh. I had my baby girl with me and there was no issue with her being a bit loud or the buggy or any of... More

During a recent visit to London my sister suggested we try out this restaurant, we were not disappointed. The waiter was super helpful and I can highly recommend that if you're not sure exactly what to order, then go with the waiter's recommendations, you won't be disappointed. The waiter taking care of us knew everything there was to know about... More

I popped into this restarant when I was randomly looking for somewhere to have lunch and was struck by the great atmosphere, lovely staff and amazing menu - the rose mint tea was lovely and the Chicken Taouk wrap (treat yourself - add the homos and the salad!) were beautiful! Tasty, well-cooked and all in a beautifully decorated restaurant!

Living in a world with many different cultures should enrich a person and trigger respect among human beings. This is why I love to go and find different foods in restaurants. And this one takes you straight inside the country where the food originates. The delicious smells that waft around make your mouth water. The colours of the walls tables... More

The service and food in Comptoir Libanais are below average and poor respectively. However the main issues with this restaurant are how pretentious and overpriced it is. The food is very basic and cheap to make, and it tastes as such. However it's marketed and priced like it is some kind of "modern, healthy and affordable Lebanese food", when in... More

Hi Economister. I am so sorry that your meal was not to your liking. You definitely do not seem to have had the standard of food and service we strive so hard to achieve. Unfortunately as it looks as though your visit was in December last year it is difficult at this late stage to take issue with staff about... More

Description
“The Lebanese cafe continues to impress us with its fresh mezze, interesting soft drink selection, snappy service and good looks.” – Time Out

The food at Comptoir is fresh, healthy, honest and affordable. Comptoir wakes up early to provide customers with unique Lebanese breakfasts to eat in or take away; offering everything from organic yoghurt topped with pomegranate and orange blossom water, porridge and halloumi cheese and za’atar croissants. Visit for lunch and dinner and enjoy all types of interesting and colourful dishes, including hot and cold mezze – perfectly sized for sharing- wraps, salads, tagines, grills and Man’aesh (Lebanese style pizzas). For dessert, nothing is more authentic than the sweet taste of baklawa – Lebanese pastries in a variety of flavours such as date filled semolina and walnut filled flaky pastry. Drinks include freshly squeezed juices, homemade lemonades and Lebanese inspired cocktails. All products can be packaged up and enjoyed on the go. Comptoir caters well for vegetarians as well as for a gluten free diet. With a friendly team and brilliant red and brushed-chrome industrial stools, bold-patterned turquoise tables and monochrome geometric flooring, Comptoir brightens the rainiest of days.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
