The inside isn't that great but sitting outside on the picnic tables under the heat lamps was nice. Staff was friendly and beer and cider was good.

Love this pub. Doesn't pretend to be anything other than somewhere to get really ale/cider and always has a wide selection. The staff always know their stuff too (don't get that in many places)

Possibly the best burgers I've ever had, served with a generous helping of chips by great staff. The pies are great too

The name would fool you into thinking this is some kind of swanky wine bar but nothing could be further from the truth....this is a proper spit and sawdust old style tavern with proper locals and an amazing range of cask ales and cider ......More
