With reference to the dining at Westminster Arms, Monday 10 Jan 2022, i accept your point about the sausage and mash may have not been to your liking, creamed mash can have that affect, but i do recall with some delight that your lady companions...did finish their fish and chips along with the beef and onion pie. and i enjoyed our conversation as you paid for dining at the bar. We aim to please at all costs and thus we are never cold and past it when it comes to providing great pub food!More

We sat down excitedly to bangers and mash, steak and ale pie, and the glorious and beloved fish and chips. We may as well have ordered sawdust, rubber and sod. It was bad! Adding insult to injury, the landlord had the cheek to say that...at least the plate was hot. Reader, it was not. We saved our pride and theirs: finished our drinks, left meals untouched, paid the full price (!), and went down round the corner to The Sanctuary: it was love at first bite. Just can’t beat a Fuller’s pie. 🥧 And chips triple cooked to perfection!More

Every year we do a family Christmas walk round London and pop into our traditional pubs along the way. This pub we have been coming to for years, but on Saturday we walked in and the atmosphere was completely dead, shocking considering it was 2...weeks before Christmas. When we asked if they did flavoured gin for one of our party, the man behind the bar replied very abruptly and said NO and walked away, when we then asked if they do pale ale for my father, we received the same response! Everyone was shocked by the attitude of the man and we quickly finished our drinks and left, never to return again! Such a shame because a few years ago, this use to be a lovely warm welcoming place. The staff need a little Christmas cheer and realise someone asking for a flavoured gin in London is certainly not a crime. A little customer service would not go a miss in this pub and after the year small business have had, they would be more welcoming rather then pushing customers out of their doors!!More

Had booked lunch here today for my 89 Yr old dad and l following a service in Westminster Abbey. But we had to leave as we were unable to fit in the teeny tiny booth!! Desperately disappointed. We're not fat but table very low, as...was bench seat... once in it we couldn't move! A shrug from staff, charming! Unless you're a skinny, short person or a tall person that can balance on a high stool, forget it!More

Agreed to meet some friends here for dinner. The person organising the meet was assured we could have a place, downstairs, for about 8 to eat and drink. I arrived early. Went downstairs, was left in no doubt how unwelcome I was, the place is...for eating, not loitering, so I left to meet my friends elsewhere. Having all met up at the adjacent Westminster Hall we went back to the up our promised "place for eight". The downstairs area was now closed, the promises meant nothing, we were then just ignored. Definitely not a place to go to if you want a warm, cheery welcome and helpful staff.More

My teenage daughter and I were coming back to our hotel in the early evening of New Year’s Eve and were Looking for a pub for dinner. We came across the Westminster arms and had a lovely meal. The service was excellent and the restaurant...served good comfort food. My daughter had a steak and I had a veggie burger and both were delicious. We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. The building and decor were historical and traditional. We had a great time.More

We came from westminster abbey and we couldn‘t find another restaurant so we went into this one. The service crew did their and thats why I gave two instead of one star. After we ordered and payed for our food we had to wait half...an hour to get it. The burger was flat out disgusting. Jesus christ.., I can‘t fathom how it‘s possible to screw a burger up like this. And for a major price of £ 11.95 I unfortunately can‘t recommend anybody to eat there...More

Pub as you would expect! Great staff, good food for a cold day and great beer selection. Close to Westminster Abbey and the Churchill’s War Rooms.

Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
