Found this place by chance and popped in for a pint of Guinness. Seems like one of the last few real traditional English pubs left and does not seem to try and pretend to be just to get the tourists in. I like the location as it's in a busy area but you are still able to pop in for... More

We went here to enjoy some fish and chips and a pie (some of my husband's favs). It was a very cute place upstairs for lunch. The food was hot and tasty (if you like that kind of food). The service was good and we had some nice pints of English brew. I recommend it for a couple who wants... More

This is one of our regular haunts when we visit London. A million miles away from the feel of many of the more typical newer flashy pubs in London, this is a pub to please those who want to revisit a bygone era. When you step inside you feel like you being transported back to simpler times. The decor is... More

Booked a table for four people before going to the theatre. We were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. There was a good selection to choose from the menu, we all choose the fish and chips. When the food arrived it was nice and hot and we all agreed they were the best fish and chip... More

Must say I was a little hesitant as we were the only diners on the 2nd floor (at first) - but the food was delicious. Pub food - nothing fancy - fish and chips and picadilly pie. Would definitely recommend.

Good selection of ale, well kept. lively atmosphere but still able to chat with friends. Good traditional service. Menu looked good but we didn't eat, just a few beers and catch up with friends not seen for a while. A great little boozer in a good location

Booked a table for lunch before going to the theatre next door. Lovely old pub and a great choice of food. After changing our minds for the 5th time, I settled for the chicken and mushroom pie and my friend had steak and ale. They were unbelievably good. The waiter was friendly and the service was quick. Reasonable too. Will... More

We called in around 6.00pm and asked if they had a table, they said they could squeeze us in if we could give up the table by 7.45pm which we did. All of the tables were pr-booked and after eating the meal I can understand why! Great food at reasonable prices (for London), the fish and chips is a must!!...

Relatively small, but quite a cosy pub. Did not have a meal here but English ales are kept well. If you are tired of shopping or strolling in Soho, it's a great traditional London pub to take five.

Description
The Queen's Head is a small independent pub in the heart of London's West End. Capturing all things British, we pride ourselves upon stocking locally sourced ale's while serving homemade traditional pub food. Situated upstairs from our busy quaint little bar, the restaurant serves a menu of fresh ingredients from sustainable and ethical sources. Popular classics such as our delicious Fish & Chips and our homemade Piccadilly Pies are a big hit with our regulars and first time visitors alike. Next door to the Piccadilly Theatre we also offer a 2 course pre-theatre menu for just £14. If you're looking for quality food and drink, vibrant atmosphere, a building soaked in history and friendly staff then this is the place to be.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
