For some reason the Pullman service has stopped being offered. The lame excuse seems to be faulty kitchen equipment for two different services on two different dates. Poor communication.

I have had breakfast a few times and never been disappointed. In May I had lunch on the 1303 from Paddington to Exeter. The restaurant is a first class coach with large comfortable seats. I was at a table with two others and by chance...More

This is such an easy review to write, excellent food, good value wine, all served in by the most friendly attentive staff while speeding down to the West Country. I do hope this service is working for GWR, it’s an institution! This is a very...More

Enjoyed this experience on the 1303 from Paddington to Taunton on the 21st June 2018. Great service, food and good value considering you’re on a train. Highly recommend.

Exquisite food and service. Not cheap but a real treat. Definitely recommended. Go for three courses with wine. Service better than first class air travel.

GWR advertises their Pullman dining car as "Britain's best-kept secret." They might be right. You can book the Pullman car ahead of time if you have an (exorbitantly priced) first class ticket, or you can do what my husband and I do - book "regular"...More

As with others, our recent booked meal at the end of a special trip away planned around it, was thwarted by a train with a broken or insufficiently equipped kitchen. That fruitcake shown in another review is ubiquitous and insufficient. When it works, as it...More
