Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is small and cozy. The waiter is really nice and professional. The food ingredients are really fresh and delicious. The portion is big enough. Price is average for such kind of food. The primitivo wine is a must try. The sweets were really...nice.More

Amazing food and service! Thanks to Marianne and all the waitress who took care of us! Came here on a really busy Saturday night with my kids and husband without reservation, luckily Marianne found us a table. Thais, who was so lovely with the kids,...suggested very great plates. Pizza is to die for and the pasta was proper Al dente. Big honesty shout-out when the bill arrived, my husband didn't realize the service had already been added and asked to put a tip on. They pointed it out and said the tip wasn't necessary. Just WOW!!More

Food average but the ‘manager’ so rude, rushed us throughout. Awful service. Taking plates from two of us whilst one still eating etc. rushed us into paying before we had chance to check the bill. Avoid this place

We first stumbled across this restaurant during our first trip to London two years ago. We returned last week and were not disappointed! Everything was as delicious as the first time. Prices were fairly reasonable. And service was good in an excellent location, just around...the corner from Buckingham Palace in Westminster. We continue to highly recommend this restaurant!More

We were in London for our 50th anniversary. Bon Gusto Restaurant was steps from our hotel. A gem of a restaurant. Food was spectacular, service excellent. Marianna was wonderful to us. We had a lovely table by the window and enjoyed interacting with Marianna and...the staff. At the end of the meal, she brought out two limoncellos for an anniversary toast! Food and atmosphere were so nice that we booked again before we left London. My husband had seafood risotto twice! Loaded with mussels, calamari and little necks. I had gnocchi the first night and veal the second night. Both dishes delicious. Very generous portions. Also had fried calamari one night. Cooked perfectly. I cannot say enough for our experience at this lovely spot. Would recommend reservations.More

Stopped here for lunch as we were walking around London. I had the pasta and my son had the pizza. The food was great, especially the pizza. Be careful ordering; some of the pizzas do not have cheese. Must be a London thing. Not many...tables in the restaurant and it gets crowded. There might be a wait for a table.More

This cozy Italian restaurant hit all the right notes for our family. My teens said their pizzas were in the top 3 pizzas they'd ever had, and my husband and I greatly enjoyed our pastas and wine. The service and atmosphere were excellent. We would...happily return if we are back in the area.More

Five minute walk from St James Park, Westminster and Buckingham Palace. So, most convenient location. The food is AMAZING!!!! Hubby had the mussels appetizer. There were over 30 large mussels in the bowl. OMG…he was in heaven! The broth was simple but had so much...flavor (white wine and garlic) and was just what you needed to dunk perfectly toasted garlic bread into. I had the lasagna which was as good as any I have had in Italy. The sauce was perfect, not too tomatoey and topped with the right amount of cheese. The noodles are definitely home made. Aside from the food what impressed me the most was the service. This is a neighborhood, casual and very lively restaurant. We didn’t have reservations on a Saturday night at 6:15 and yet they got us in. Waitress was friendly but gave us space to relax and savor the food. The owner was so cool. When my seafood risotto (my first order) came out and I was shocked to see 12 mussels, shrimp, calamari rings (not fried) and other things…I had to admit to him that I hadn’t realized there would be SO MUCH FRESH seafood and that I really didn’t like mussels. He took it away and asked what I wanted which when is when I ordered the lasagna. Ok…before you all start thinking “what did she expect in a seafood risotto” let me add that we had arrived in London late afternoon after a 10 hour flight from Phoenix and I was very much sleep deprived. So back off on those judgements!!! (Kidding). We had a bottle of a ‘21 Primitivo which was so reasonably priced and excellent! So please, walk, no RUN to enjoy this amazing restaurantMore

Food was fantastic and the staff was excellent. We very much enjoyed our time there. Pizzas and pastas were both excellent and the gelato tasted like Italy.

Horrific experience, absolutely disappointed as our expectations were quite high, considering the fact that this was meant to be an "authentic" Italian restaurant! Disgusting customer service with average food! Don't waste your time! Their manager is totally rude, unprofessional and disrespectful with no sense of...customer care! Should not manage the restaurant with such an attitude!More

Substandard food and very poor customer service from a rude manager. If you really want value for money and a higher standard service, a better quality of authentic Italian food I would avoid this place. Without saying much, the review will likely be followed by...a response from the manager which will prove my point.More

Ordered margherita pizza for lunch with a mall bottle of coke. I know it’s London, but not sure how they can justify £14 and £4 respectively. When it arrived ( service was slow) it wasn’t very good at all. Base was hard enough that it...was difficult to cut. Cheese was swimming in grease. Overall quite tasteless. Cannot recommend as there are better options locally.More

We were looking for a good restaurant near our hotel. Bon Gusto checked all the boxes. It’s an intimate restaurant with a comfortable but upscale atmosphere, delicious and well prepared food, excellent service - attentive, friendly, professional. For appetizers we had the proscuitto and melon...and a special which was bruschetta with soft cheese, figs and proscuitto. Both were very good with generous portions for sharing. (I know - a lot of proscuitto but we do like it)! For the main we both had the lasagna which was served in individual casserole dishes. The lasagna noodles were slightly al dente, which I like, the sauce wasn’t sweet which I also like. there was plenty of cheese and meat - which made it perfect! With 3 drinks the bill came to $140 (108.75 pounds) which we felt was fair pricing for a lovely dining experience.More

I believe they are open 8-4 on Sundays. It is a nice relatively unassuming restaurant with friendly staff and good food near Buckingham Palace. Enjoy.
