Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Honestly the best roast pork belly I have ever eaten. Service was friendly and informal, we were well looked after and the quality of food was off the scale. Not cheap but then you wouldn't get something that well cooked for less. Thank you for...having us we will be back!More

Decent selection of ales which was positive but very costly. When busy it is a nightmare as it is so small. Staff moan if you're in their way even if there is nowhere else to actually go.

I am a local and I’ve been to the Anglesea hundreds of times. On this occasion, they sat us at a crappy table by the door, even though there were tables free in the restaurant. The service was great but the signature dish, the steak,...was incredibly tough, almost inedible.More

I felt I had to get in touch to say that all who chose it thought the roast sirloin of beef was the best they have EVER tasted. Melt in the mouth. The accompanying veg (especially the greens) were also delicious. The rest of the...dishes were also excellent. Thank you. Note to families: they do not have high chairs for babies.More

Having not eaten here for a number of years we ate twice in short succession - both times dinner The menu is short and the food we had was excellent we enjoyed great cocktails, and on one occasion shared a bottle of wine and on...another a number of different wines by the glass The service is good and very friendly As with everywhere else prices are up, but we are now kicking ouserlves for not visiting more oftenMore

Food was great and a lovely pub, but definitely NOT child friendly. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect a lot or that children should be accommodated in pubs - I’m not that type of parent. However, despite having the kids menu and the provision...of a booster high chair seat at the table, I had to literally ‘beg’ for a bin bag to put a dirty nappy in (no bins in the ladies) and was then told I would have to keep the bagged dirty nappy with me throughout our meal and dispose of it at home because it was ‘toxic’ waste that they couldn’t deal with. I wasn’t expecting changing facilities (which they don’t have - no problem) or for anyone else to deal with this. I just wanted to put my son’s dirty nappy (all bagged up) in their dustbin. I was perfectly content to do that myself. No one had to touch anything. I’m appalled and won’t be going back. I’m fine with places not catering to children but just be honest about it or try and understand on a basic level what that actually means.More

The choice was fine, service was fine, the food was fine - not as good, or better-than-everything-else-locally, as it was once but fine. Disappointing there was only one hand-pump beer (and I didn’t really like and too much head) but I guess this is a...place for premium lager or wine. But it was the lavatories which got me: they stank. Not sure when they were last cleaned but ... horrid.More

The Angelsea Arms has a real (fun!) West London pub vibe, and is popular enough that it could probably get away with middling food and service. However the food is consistently above par and the service is in my experience nothing but delightful, especially /...even when calling last minute to book. The only letdown is the wine list, but in that it is certainly not unique among London pubs. Overall definitely recommend if you're in the area or nearby areas.More

Cute place, very busy and popular, good food. Giving 5 stars because of the manager, James. While on vacation, we were seated outside with my 8 year old daughter who is terrified of dogs. She wanted to leave as dogs kept walking by. Manager James...caught wind of this and approached our table. He shared with my daughter that he completely understood as he was scared of dogs as a child. He offered to move us inside so she would feel less scared. He proceeded to take great care of us during our entire dinner. It’s great to see that true, genuine hospitality still exists. Thank you James not only for a great meal, but for your empathy and understanding, it really had a positive affect on my daughter. When we find ourselves in London again we will definitely return.More

Been living in W12 for a long time (about to move to NW6) and wanted to pay tribute to this absolute gem of a pub just a stone's throw from Ravenscourt Pk. It has everything you want from a local pub - good beer, delicious...food, nice people and a warm fire. Nice too there's no TV it doesn't need it. About the food again - it's not cheap but every meal I've eaten there was been amazing, highlights being the beef ragu pappadrelle, the enormous caesar salads and of course their Sunday roasts which are legendary this part of London. They could always somehow find a table for us with or without a booking and greet us with a smile like an old friend. Will miss it greatly, hopefully not altogether.More

Awful service from a pub that used to be a favourite of mine. Basically, I asked for two pints, and although I was standing at the bar, the barman insisted on walking the pints to a table, and then he charged me for table service!...When I complained, I was given a refund (apparently), but now it seems that instead of a refund, they simply charged me again for the pints (minus the service charge)! So I've paid twice - plus an unecessary service charge! What's going on??!More

The Anglesea is great as it is consistently good. The service is always excellent and the food very good indeed. The osso bucco was excellent as was the hake. The orange polenta cake was delicious too. Although busy, it wasn’t too noisy.
