Went here for a curry after hearing it was one of the best in London. I haven't been to any of the other curry places in Brick Lane, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it was delicious. I ordered some sort of lamb curry dish-the egg-fried rice it came with was tasty and the service was very... More

Absolutely an amazing restaurant to spend quality time with group of friends! We went there as a group of 25, not only the food was amazing but it came out on time and the service from Manna was astounding.

Definitely the best in Brick Lane! Gets jammed packed in the evening but we always book in advance. The service here is the best and the curry is fantastic! The new decor looks amazing guys.

We had a lovely meal at the Aladin on Brick Lane. Very tasty and enjoyable. The waiters were very helpful and chatty with good sense of humours. Great value for money too. It's a BYO so don't forget your drinks!

Booked a table for 6 people well in advance, turned up at the Aladin and they took us to their other restaurant nearby. Stuck on a table by the door that got a draft of cold air every few seconds as people came in and out of the restaurant. This place was also packed (now not sure why!) and appeared... More

Really basic food. Waiter was pushy and tried to sell upgrades to dishes, what on earth is a jalfrezi with a balti upgrade? I have no idea why this restaurant would be worthy of praise.

The staff were very friendly and the food was quick. We got 20 percent off as we nooked in advance. Was a decent price and possibly the best tikka masala i have ever had!

Always good to have a Sunday in brick lane as always a nice atmosphere and then to finish with a curry . the restaurant decoration is very average apart from the large mural on the wall. This is fantastic as the painting is so poor i am still trying to work out who is actually represented on it. The staff... More

You really can't go wrong on Brick Lane. The prices and the food are pretty similar to me. If you are looking for a hidden gem...you aren't gonna find it here. BUT, the restaurants here are all tried and true...and in fierce competition with each other. If it's your first time to Brick Lane, be sure to mention it and... More

I was visiting London with my husband, and my parents who had never tasted Indian cuisine. I walked to this restaurant to get take-away, and ordered 3 entrees to take back to the apartment we were renting. I ordered the Vegetable Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and a Chicken Vindaloo (extra hot), with naan and rice. They also recommended the papadous... More

Staying in Spitalfields

Neighbourhood Profile
Spitalfields
For a glimpse of Georgian and Victorian London at its most pristine, or a peek into what's apt to be the next big global trend, the hipster zone of Spitalfields can provide hours of amazement. Around the clock, this is a haven for early morning bargain hunters sizing up its street markets, foodie foragers throughout the day, or late night revelers hitting some of London's most popular bars and clubs.

Wedged between the business-minded City of London, expressly trendy Shoreditch, and zestful Whitechapel, the lines between traditional and contemporary beautifully blur in this historic East End nexus.
