Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were quietly enjoying our drinks when one of the bouncers offered a table upstairs. We accepted. After a while, I wanted to stretch my legs and stood up. I was immediately accosted by a super agro bouncer demanding I sit down according to "the...rules." Remaining perfectly calm, I called the rules re!^#ed and said we'd go back downstairs to stand, which we did. He followed us like a hound calling a pack of bouncers who aggressively circled us and demanded we leave like a mob of thugs. I cba to argue (as contrary to them I have an actual life) and said we'd leave which we did. They followed us all the way to the street asking for a provocation to assault us (which of course they'd never have the b!akd# to do in equal numbers). Guess what we did? Completely ignored them and spent our money at the next pub down the road. Pathetic.More

The place is filthy. The food is rubbish. Also before you even finished your meal they’re trying to whip the plate from under you. It’s the worst Thai food I’ve ever had

I was the Fullback for the Rugby World Cup Final and it was an incredible night. The atmosphere was electric, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Both food and drinks were top-notch. I cant wait to go back, this place is a real winner.

Used to be a good pub but went back recently and the bouncers ruined it. Walking around in military style waistcoats, very moody - had a go at a friend for putting a jumper on a banister and won’t let you stand up in the...garden. Created a horrible atmosphereMore

I was lucky to visit this pleasure dome on a mellow, sunny late May afternoon and neck two pints of Neck Oil on the highest tier of the pagoda-like structure which fills an ivy-clad back garden. Whoever designed this structure must be a genius, as...it piles existentially more seating into such a small back yard than it should conceivably contain. M.C. Escher eat your heart out. Everything about this pub is a sequence of surprises. The little flat-iron-shaped corner snug which invites you in like the cabinet of Dr Caligari leads then into a bigger bar, just as cultily atmospheric, and finally to a huge performing space for musical events, through which you penetrate to the zigzaggingly vertiginous stairs out the back. A faltering journey which hopefully cancels out the calories in each pint drunk by the punters most aloft.More

The bouncers gave a random guy a warning about singing, after the bar itself put on a song which have another meaning for a club they decided to target people who where singing along. Unprofessional behavior, inconsistent explanations - A place which is held in...so high regard, getting tarnished by a few bad people...More

One star is a bit unfair as this is a decent pub but incredible that they do not stock a gluten free beer. It is very rare to find a pub that doesn't cater for Celiac's and, given the range of beers on offer, extremely...surprising not to find one at the FF. Every major beer distributor will have lots of options and not to offer one is lazy and well out of tune with our times. Disappointing.More

I asked twice about gluten free food (I have coeliac disease) and was told to choose something labelled gluten free on the menu. When the food arrived it looked like it was covered in soy sauce so asked again and they checked in the kitchen...who said the food did have gluten in it and nothing on the menu is gluten free. They made me a plain stir fry in the end but didn’t offer to refund the money or even apologise. More worrying was they didn’t seem to think it was a problem that they had given me food containing an allergen Be very careful about eating here if you have food allergies or intolerancesMore

Left in tears after senior management thought it was okay to shout in my face and intimate me for asking a person politely for a cigarette. It’s not okay to intimate a woman like that and if it wasn’t for the kind bouncer I don’t...doubt they would have been physically aggressive. Treat women kindly and don’t make them cryMore

I never leave reviews on TripAdvisor because I do believe that is a curse best reserved for those born before 1995. However the service tonight from Harriet is deserving of some sort of raise, promotion, award, national award.

Agreed. I wouldn't try parking there. Easy walk from both Finsbury Park and Crouch Hill stations (less than 10 mins from either).
