Went there with my colleagues after a long day, attracted mainly by the location. It is supposed to be a fancy and posh restaurant, but service is poor and food average. Dishes presentation is lame. Waiters were walking around us like sharks... the top of...More

I visited the New Street Grill today with some friends and they state that it’s a ‘vegetarian friendly’ restaurant, but this couldn’t be further than the truth. With only 2 vegetarian options on the menu of risotto (I think restaurants think that risotto is the...More

Dont go for the fillet steak. Poor quality, chewy steak. We even went for the ''tomahawk'' and it was chewy as well and terribly cooked. Service slow and not attentive. 1 receptionist to cover all table allocation, phones, coats, Wont recommend it.More

Roughly £20 for a nice steak, very good chips and a glass of wine. Really can't complain - and the service was very good, when you might expect it to dip because of the deal. The setting was lovely as well. Very peaceful and elegant.

Been a few times now and this last visit will now be my last. I ordered rare sirloin, and had to spit lumps of fat into my napkin, steak was only slightly warm and you could taste residual grease and fat from the chips. Service...More

We chose this as it was close to Liverpool Street. Steaks were very good and the service was attentive, great wine list and the ambiance was good also. There were four of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food and had a great evening.

Description
The New Street Grill is, as the name suggests, a modern take on the British Grill restaurant located in the heart of the city, where superbly aged steaks & joints of meat are all grilled in the wood fired Josper oven. The menu includes a selection of beef, lamb, poultry & of course great game in season, with a little day boat fish and interesting vegetarian dishes. The food style reflects modern, classic & traditional heritage, thereby giving a balanced and interesting menu choice. Alongside the great steaks & joints of meat, we unearth some of Britain's forgotten food heritage, following the seasons accordingly. With an outside walled terrace, New Street Grill comprises two rooms, each decorated in rich warm tones with areas of exposed brickwork, creating a stylish and contemporary rough-luxe space.
