Been here twice now on business meetings. I would never have picked it myself but my colleague said she really liked it. From the outside it’s a non descript doorway with stairs leading to a basement. I expected an old type Italian with average food,...but frankly I have now been blown away by the food on two occasions. The restaurant seems to be run by a few ‘old school’ (and I mean this in a good way, as in experienced at producing a quality product) Italian fellas and family/ long term employees who have clearly been in the restaurant game for a long time. This is a good thing as they are clearly pro and run a very slick operation. Sorry I know nothing of the background, but this is my observation. Service is excellent and the staff can have a bit of banter as well which is great, it feels like a very personalised experience. Food is outstanding. Whilst starters in particular are pricey, they are extremely good. There seems to be a specialism in fish and on one occasion I had the cod which was excellent. On the second occasion I took the waiter’s recommendation (well I asked him how good it was and he said he had put it down as my order - great bit of banter) of the veal Ravioli. My goodness that was absolutely amazing, 3 in the group had it and we all said the same. I would say it was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten anywhere. That’s saying something in over 40 years of eating in Italian restaurants the world over. It really was that good. It was a special and I’d love to order that every time I went. I have also had the scollop starter, again absolutely lovely. Cannot wait to go back! Well done,More

Our best Italian food on trip. The place at lunch time was packed full mainly of office workers in suits, so we knew that place must be good. This is a fine dining Italian restaurant, and reservation is necessary. We had the seared scallops, funghi...risotto & traditional meatball spaghetti plus the house red wine. The food was excellent, the house wine was good & service was impeccable. Good place for good food and conversation bug not for a quiet lunch. Price wise is on the upper end though we felt the quality was certainly worth the price.More

Three of us ate here for an evening meal. We all had some different and we were not disappointed. I had the lobster spaghetti with bisque, this was rich and delicious. For dessert I had home made Tiramisu which was beautiful. Highly recommend.

The food was far too rich for our taste. Spag very spicey and my veal average. Quantity rather than quality. Service however good particularly from the young waiters.

As someone who's worked in the City of London for over 10 years, I can confidently say that this is one of the very few restaurants there that serve actually good food. You still pay the standard "City premium", but that's a given. The restaurant...could do with a bit of a refurbishment but, at the end of the day, it is the food that matters when you go to a restaurant. And that I can't fault. The service was also very good. Giorgio sold his tuna as "the best in the City" - it was the best tuna I'd ever had. Absolutely delicious. Everyone else was also raving about their food. Overall, a great business meal.More

Tired of pub food, there were eight of us that landed here after visiting the nearby Sky Garden. We ordered a variety of things, everyone was happy with what they got -- spaghetti, gnocchi, ravioli, minestrone, squid-ink pasta are the ones I remember. The place...had an energetic vibe and the staff was very attentive, consistenty checking drinks and offering multiple bread options. I would be happy to return.More

Found this little restaurant after going to war of the worlds experience. A lovely warm welcome and very bright. The food was amazing, especially the main I had hare ragu on tagliatelle, it was just a big bowl of loveliness. The whole meal was lovely...and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful.More
