Been twice. Hugely satisfying ciabatta/baguettes. Vast amount of filling. Smoked salmon £5. Smoked salmon with sumptuous prawn cocktail £6. Both to take away but can't praise highly enough.

My wife and I popped in this cafe for mid-afternoon lunch on Thursday and were pleasantly surprised at the choice on offer and the reasonable prices for this area. The hot meals we ordered - a vegetable pasta and a chilli con carne - arrived...More

I had high hopes for this hole-in-the-wall for some late breakfast sandwiches. The workers were friendly, seemed Portuguese maybe though I didn't see any of that food available. Sandwiches were freshly prepared from mostly previously cooked ingredients. I was expecting the egg sandwich to be...More

At last, a decent cup of coffee. Not too strong or burnt, it tasted of coffee and I really enjoyed it. If I hadn't been meeting friends for lunch I definitely would have tried the food on offer too. It's not a fancy coffee shop,...More

Good food and good service. After 17 years of using this establishment with lots of new comers opening up around it you still can't beat its simple and excellent service.

Good cafe to pick up a fresh sandwich or panini or there is an option to dine in also. Many food options available including salads and pasta too. Efficient and friendly service.

It's great to find an independent cafe just a stones throw from Covent Garden. Great range of sandwiches, baked potatoes, hot food at value for money in an other pricy area of London. Large sitting area, very friendly staff & quick service.

We wanted to have a proper cup of coffee prior to going to the theatre but this is hard to find. Yes there are Starbucks and the like, but we wanted a nice coffee and a real cake - nothing "plastic". So after a bit...More

Bored of Pret and Eat and all the rest? You can get a pretty decent panini here on the corner of the Strand and Waterloo Bridge and not a bad cuppa. As caffs go, it's a caff, but on the occasions I've popped in for...More

We stayed at the Strand Palace hotel and were looking for somewhere to have breakfast but it looked like all there was were Starbucks, Costas and the like and we definitely didn't want those. We turned a corner and there was the Crown Cafe so...More
