The perfect restaurant between ‘fine dining’ and ‘chain restaurant’. I Googled all the restaurants around Liverpool St and was after something nicer than your average chain restaurant but not as expensive as some of the finer dining restaurants in the area and came across Fish Market and decided to give it a go.
We had the set menu which is part of The Guardian offer - a wonderful fresh starter (I chose mackerel pate) a main (sea bream and spinach) and a dessert (Sticky Toffee pudding) all for £20 including a 125ml glass of wine!
Everything tasted very fresh and delicious, the wine which I assume was their house (I chose white but red was also on offer) was very good and not cheap tasting.
The staff were very attentive and the restaurant was very comfortable and had a very nice atmosphere. There was plenty of people coming and going so it’s obviously a popular place.
I would 100% go here again. This would be great for couples, catch up with friends or with family (minus the kids).

We went on Saturday lunchtime and had the brunch menu which is available from 11:00 am to 16:00 pm. At £25 for two courses and £30 for three courses it represents good value and there is the option of unlimited bubbles (Chandon Sparkling) for £15.
We decided to miss the starters and had an additional side with our main courses of beer battered haddock and chips which was excellent. Washed down by a good value bottle of Pieropan Soave at £37.
There is a short desert menu and the ice creams and sorbets were very good too.
It was a lively atmosphere as the restaurant was taking part in a promotion where groups were visiting diffrent places for different courses so while we were there the clientelle in that section of the restaurant changed every 45 minutes which kept the staff busy.
There is a more extensive A La Carte menu available at other times and we will certainly try that out too.
Staff were young and friendly and made an effort to keep on top of things.

We had an excellent meal here. Casual restaurant in appearance but prices are a tad higher than normal and on par with west end etc. The fish dishes we all had were very fresh and well cooked. Waiting staff were a bit slow on the night we was there as they had a function in the sister venue next door and the dishes were being transported there throughout the night which caused us a problem initially for our starters arriving. Main courses and food generally made up for this though.

Great post-lockdown bottomless brunch with friends. Food delicious and generous portions. Prawns, crab burger and millefeuille dessert all exceptional and the staff were generous with the bottomless prosecco during the time we were there. Can’t fault it. Also nice to have patio heaters!!!

Seen this place as we have passed and thought we would give it a try. The young lady who served us unfortunately didn’t get her name was very nice and also helpful when asking about dishes.
I had the scallops my husband had the langoustine unfortunately they were very disappointing we mentioned to a member of staff and without hesitation offered another dish
Our mains were lovely and the raspberry and passion fruit pavlova was the best I’d tasted
Will be returning
Thank you!

Came here on 12th April with my best friend. We were greeted by two lovely ladies, Gosia and Grace who also waited our table. They sat as down under a heater on the terrace. It was a very busy evening for them but they always kept a smile on their face!
We started out with some delicious Negronis, oysters, tuna tartare and squid. As a main, I had half a lobster, the meat was melting in your mouth. My friend decided to have one of the day's special fish, John Dory after Nicola's and Gosia's reccommendations and she was very happy with her choice. Great portions, we left too full to even have desert. Will definitely come back.

Wonderful restaurant with well contained outside terrace seating area. Started off with a dozen medium Oysters. Shared a gift experience Seafood Platter (Virgin experience) together with a glass of Champagne. This was full of various seafood delicacies which were very tasty. We also had a couple of dishes of Whitebait as the Seafood Platter was not as filling as expected. Superb service which was both attentive and friendly. Quite expensive even after using voucher, so a real treat, but well worth visiting.

The food was excellent, yellow fin tuna ceviche was freshly made and delicious even though it was very late in the evening. The Cod Pave was also excellent and , again, very fresh. Service, was also great, and a big thank you to James. I've been before and will be back again.

What a wonderful place! My husband and I decided to come here last minute and were not disappointed! Yes, the food is great and the location is amazing but what really makes this place stand out is the wonderful staff! We had no booking and showed up at 8'o clock on a Saturday and they still managed to accommodate us. When it suddenly started raining, the staff ran to us with an umbrella and switched our table to a covered one as soon as possible. They kept apologizing for the rain, which they had 0 control over and gave us to complementary drinks. They were warm, welcoming and friendly. More than you can ever ask for! We had the sharing platter starter, which I really recommend and their prawns are the huge and super sweet! 10 out of 10!

My family came over from the US and we found your restaurant near their hotel.
The food was good and we were excited to see the offer on the table of a free bottle of champagne if you spent over £100. We asked if we could have the bottle and were told that we needed to have preordered it with our reservation. We question why the card is on the table if we were unable to avail ourselves of it. It's very disengenous to place the card there.

We had the set menu.
Starter was scallop for me (1) and ceviche (lots!) for my partner - both v nice
Main we both had swordfish (replacement for hake - they had run out (it had all been sent to Spain I suspect....they go wild for it there)). I thought my fish was a little overcooked, which in a fish specialist restaurant was a little disappointing, but that maybe because the last time I had swordfish was in Sicily. We had a side of chips which at GBP6 worked out at about GBP0.15/chip!
Service good, wine OK but quite pricy (NZ sauvignon blanc is GBP36 - its GBP18 in Hamilton Hall and HH's is a better wine) but what do you expect; thats where they make their money.....overall very good and will be going back.

This restaurant, a stones throw from Liverpool Street station, serves deliciously fresh fish in a buzzy environment. When we went at lunchtime, it wasn’t too busy and the service was efficient. It isn’t particularly cheap but the portions were generous.

I love this place and have been here a few times before.
Unfortunately, my Tuna was overdone.
I asked for rare and got medium to well done.
Sticky toffee pudding was hard and clearly over microwaved.
The girls in the restaurant were all lovely, smiley and friendly. They've probably changed their chef during covid.

Dear Mukuma,
Many thanks for your recent visit and feedback.

We shared the signature dinner for two, which included Seabass, Tiger Prawns and grilled Octopus. One has a choice of sides (Sweet potato fries and green beans for us). The food was excellent, generous portions and very reasonably priced. Service was superb, and I'll call out Nicholas (from Brittany) as having gone 'above & beyond'. Everything about the meal was perfect and we will return.
