Interesting pub with character. Not a massive menu but the chicken Kiev was lovely. Didn't think it looked enough at first but it filled me up and I left some. Good range of lager and beer.

A simple tavern that is extremely family friendly. The service staff was very friendly. I had 2 extremely good beers that were recommended. The hot food was very welcoming on a cold rainy Sunday night.

Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Was pleasantly suprised to see the exact wheat beer being served after drinking it at the weekend in Hanover! One member of staff was a little grumpy but otherwise we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal!More

Thanks a lot for the review! It had been a long day for the people working as we were a bit short that night so apologies for the apparent grumpiness. I think it was a bit more tiredness than anything else! Hope to see you...More

We reserved a table online just a few hours before we arrived for a Sunday roast. The staff were helpful and attentive. Great vegetarian option- the Parsnip nut roast was fantastic.

Description
A Hoxton pub that soars above the rest. Just a short meander from Shoreditch, you'll find The Eagle - possibly the only pub you'll ever frequent that's famed for its name-check in a nursery rhyme: Up and down the City road, in and out The Eagle. That's the way the money goes. Pop goes the weasel... But it's not just this catchy little ditty that makes us stand out from the crowd. Freshly prepared pub food, and a great selection of continental beers & lagers, with the option to retreat into our heated beer garden - now that's what makes us the hottest hangout this side of Old Street.
