Had Sunday lunch a few weeks back. First time I had been in there since it was refurbished and the place looks great. The most noticeable thing about this pub is how friendly and attentive the staff are. They brought us drinks to our table...More

We booked a table for dinner but unfortunately the security guy on the door would not let us enter as we had our 2 year old daughter with us. My parents had ordered drinks already but had to leave them when we were not allowed...More

We’ve just read your Trip Advisor review of your recent visit to the Duke of Clarence. First, as we did on the evening of your visit, we apologise for the big inconvenience that this situation caused. We always pride ourselves on being a welcoming pub...More

A nicely renovated "gastropub" that has a busy bar scene at night and on weekend days too, it shows some sports I think as well. The food is surprisingly good and was served quickly. It can be slightly chaotic trying to find a table on...More

Came with a few friends for drinks midweek and it was, as usual, great. Good service and, although not sampled on this occasion, the food is great too. If there is one criticism it's that it can get crowded on busy nights and there is...More

This little pub has recently had a refurbishment and we found it absolutely delightful. Enjoyable ambience, friendly staff and tasty food. They have a good range of wines to choose from. Watch the "high step" to get in and out of the front door.

Old style English pub with lots of comfortable seating in a very old building. Our server was excellent with good descriptions of the food and a helping hand in beer selections. We had a couple small dishes. The rabbit was very good.

I live just around the corner and love coming here. The refurbishment has been top standard and the pub has kept all its charm and character. A very relaxing environment, with brilliant staff! A great place to read a book or get some work done....More

We stumbled across this beautifully renovated pub when our chosen curry house was shut at lunchtime. Very interesting and really different vegetarian options, great ambience and friendly service.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

This is a modern British pub with all the quality and style that you would expect in Kensington, coupled with the comfort, delightful look and fine, fresh food that are synonymous with the quintessential Geronimo pub. Perfectly set in the oldest licensed building on Old Brompton Road, The Duke of Clarence was previously more renowned in the area for its brunch, burgers and bonhomie. However, it has now also gained an impressive reputation for the extensive wine list, selected by John Clevely and featuring everything from smooth classic reds to aromatic whites. Alongside a great range of beers, The Duke of Clarence can certainly satisfy the demanding residents of Kensington and beyond. Whether it's to watch the sport of the day or just watch the world pass by through the huge open windows, this is a superb spot for both stylish diners and drinkers.
