Just delicious- thanks for reopening for takeout!

Thank goodness Hana has reopened for takeout. I was delighted to order on Saturday night. We had the special flatbread, divine Humus, the lamb grill and the tasty chargrilled king prawns with rice. This has moved to the starters area on the menu only however, the owner kindly let me have this as a main course. Delicious! Please put the prawns back on as a main! To summarise the food was super tasty, the portions were generous and good value for money. I highly recommend this local gem and am grateful they have reopened. I look forward to enjoying a meal in this warm and cosy restaurant soon

Lockdown takeaway

With almost 3 months being in lockdown and following the governments guidelines, we as a family have stayed home and cooked everyday at home. We fancied something different and my son suggested Hana resturant as I mentioned how the food was always good when I eat there with family and friends. We ordered via a call to the restaurant and was recommended some nice dishes. We collected at 7.30pm, waited for a bit as there were other customers in the queue (socially distanced of course) We drove back home which is about 25 mins away. The food was still hot and it still tasted the same as you were served in the restaurant. (Most takeaways don’t taste the same) we enjoyed our meal with some food left over to have the next day. Thanks Hana and stay safe.

Most delicious Persian stew in London!

I just had the most epic meal at Hana with my finance. We had a persian pomegranate chicken dish called Fesenjan which was unbelievably tasty. The owner - Davud - was charming and made us feel so welcome. What a special local restaurant (the best in West Hampstead I'd say) and we will be returning time and time again....!!!!!!

Lovely meal disappointing staff lacking training

Three of us came here on a quiet Tuesday evening the restaurant had a nice cosy atmosphere. We firstly ordered drinks which arrived promptly however one of the soft drinks was left off and the americano with milk was almost black in colour so we had to ask for more milk but were told by a slightly hostile restaurant that there was milk in it already however she did bring more and the third drink which had been forgotton. We then ordered our food which arrived in a reasonable time as the meat was obviously fresh. We asked for chilli sauce with the meals however the waitress said she had brought one and indicated a very small bowl to share between 3. The food itself was delicious the meat was fresh flavourful and perfectly cooked however the rice was sub standard in my opinion it lacked any flavour and felt like it had been sat around. We asked for the bill and paid in full excluding the optional service charge as we felt the service was not up to par so we did leave a small tip but not the recommended amount. As we went to leave one of the waitresses proceeded to call after me that we had not paid her enough money and our bill was short in front of the whole restaurant. Mortified I allowed my husband to deal with it who explained that the service charge was optional and the reasons why we did not pay it however the waitress disagreed that it was optional and merely shrugged as though he was making it up. All in all the service let the whole experience down and considering we travelled quite away it was very disappointing.

Unprofessional behaviour

I booked a table for Friday night dinner at Hana’s. It was agreed on the phone that table would be granted for 1 h and 45 minutes, however on arrival the waitress informed us that we should give the table back 30 minutes earlier than initially agreed. When I questioned why I was simply told that there is nothing she could do as she accommodated 2 additional customers who had no reservation for the night. Her body language was very arrogant and she was surprised when I explained that this is very unprofessional and that I am not going to stay. I asked for the manager but was told that I can call the day after at 1 pm if I want to speak to him. Interestingly after I left the restaurant I was called by the manager to be told that I could go back and the initially booked table would be granted. He tried to defend his position by saying that if I waited a bit longer I would be granted another table etc all lies. Very unprofessional and provocative behaviour! Not honouring a table reservation and not giving any notice to the client is a first for me. Simply will never go again for any reason!

Awful Service and Stale Rice

Hana is in my neighbourdhood and I go there a lot. The food has always been good but the service is hit and miss. The last time I was there with a friend, on 18/08/23, I told the waitress that the rice was stale and asked her to inform the manager. I saw her talking to manager. But the manager didn't come to our table. I didn't want to make a fuss and ruin my time with a friend who came all the way from South Kensington to West Hampstead. When I was paying the bill, I asked the waitress if she passed on my message. She said yes. However, when I confronted the manager, he denied being informed and he didn't offer any appologies or compensation. . Now this is an unacceptable level of service combined with previous day rice.

An unexpectedly tasty and abundant cuisine

I had never eaten Persian, it was the first time. It was a wonderful discovery. Unique flavors with the skillful use of fruit among the ingredients. A lot of use of delicious sauces that are never spicy. Abundant dishes, I didn't expect so much. We ordered too much! Very welcoming and kind staff, we spent a nice evening. We'll be back!

The best Persian food in London by far. The food is splendid, so delicious and also healthy. You feel like you are at home having grandmas cooking. Also the staff and owner are very friendly and welcoming and always make your time special! Can’t recommend Hana highly enough. P.S. if you like spicy food try ghalileh meygo!

We were in the area and fancied some Persian food. Been to Hana sometime back but wanted to take my daughter there. We had a lovely meal and found it value for money. Service was good too. Will definitely be back again soon.

Very simple yet always so good. Clean plates all round whether starter salads or delicious chicken and lamb skewers. Chilli jam a must have!!
