The food was stunning and that's the most important part of this review. The flavours were great and it was all cooked very well. There was a group of us and we did find the service a little slow and one dish was missed. The background music is really foreground music which made it difficult to talk to each other,... More

We had wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time but it was always so busy but we were lucky enough to get a table for a Saturday night by arriving at about 6pm. The restaurant was very busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table and got to enjoy some cocktails from the bar in... More

I'm from Scotland, but every time I've been in London I need to go here. The dirty chicken burger is the best burger I've ever tasted, and the white russian milkshakes are to die for. It's a really good atmosphere, but it is quite dark and loud so probably best for groups of friends. If you download the secret app... More

Pretty overpriced for what you're getting, the place itself is dark and loud. It seems whoever controls the music volume turns it up even more for certain songs. Couldn't hear my wife (although some see this as a plus). Food was all tasty but way overpriced. Also the beers are just in cans they could really do with some taps... More

If you've just escaped a Weight Watchers meeting or you're hungover beyond all comprehension and are craving a dirty burger this might be the place for you. If you're looking for somewhere that's ambiance is as enjoyable as the food and you can view your food in all its greasy glory, this is NOT the place for you. This place... More

No complaints about the food or service at all. Burgers are wet, it's true, but there's kitchen roll readily at hand to have a mid-meal wipe. Burger was very good - had the bacon cheeseburger, and fries were good too. Room is pretty dark, but not annoyingly so! Would visit again.

This is a no reservations place, I went with a friend on a Thursday evening and waited in the queue for around 25 mins. They precise fried pickles and onion rings while waiting though :-) once inside we waited in the bar area for around 10 mins before being seated. It was pretty dark in there but I guess it's... Ate here especially as my friend was in London for the weekend and wanted to try this place after reading good reviews. The chicken wings were lovely, but had to ask for the dip as it failed to arrive with the wings. I wasn’t too impressed on how the food was served, everything chucked onto a tray (although the chips... More

Went with mates and have been before, also been to MeatLiquor in Brighton and MeatMarket down the road. The food was great, always is - filthy, delicious burgers and sides. Beers aren't cheap but then that's London. I really question whether it's worth the queue, the terribly uncomfortable tables, the rude bar staff, and the 1980's-football ground-toilets though. Could you... More

We called into Meat Liquor on the off chance - looking from the outside we nearly didn't go in as it looked so dark but plucking up our courage we went in and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere of the place which had very subdued lighting but great food and service. We ordered burgers and have to say that... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
