I am writing the review for the Bonnie Gull on Duke street. The listing does not appear on TripAdvisor. I would not recommend this place at all. We went there because it's right next door to where we are staying. We ordered the Cornish octopus for starters. It is a cold appetizer. Not bad. 2 of us had the lobster,... More

We had read some very good reviews, about this small restaurant just between oxford street and Marylebone road. Phoned a hour before we got there on a Saturday lunch time and was surprised how quiet it was! Nice surroundings, 2 young ladies serving, both knowledgeable and pleasant. Pre starter of Salt Cod balls, nice. Starter of Salmon with a Horseradish... More

Great space for a birthday celebration (as long as you don't mind getting a little cosy!). The oysters and nibbles laid on were delicious, food was well paced with excellent service. We had a wonderful evening, a shame the weather didn't play ball so we could use the outside tables!

Brilliant meal. The staff are friendly, the service is excellent, but most importantly, the food is delicious. We had tempura oysters as a pre-starter - they came with seaweed mayo and were great. Starters were a cured mackerel fillet for me and a crab curry for him. Both prepared with precision, care and seasoned well. We shared the roasted seafood... More

All the staff so helpful. Food AMAZING. We had a selection of food to start, including a selection of oysters, then an oyster tempura style, plus a few starters off the menu. Then I had a brilliant sole and big fat chips. Champagne with the starters, a great Merlot after ( yes I drink red with fish sometimes! I even... More

Bonnie Gull was outstanding in every way. The restaurant is small but bright and airy with seafaring decor. I particularly liked the huge rope 'tapestry' down one wall. The staff were relaxed, but friendly and efficient. The tables not too close together and the music (my bete noire) just audible. Just enough to fill a void in conversation, but not... More

From oysters to main - delicious and fresh. A tad expensive. A little crowded. And a slip up with attention to detail - on seating the waitress removed the top paper tablecloth to then expose a fabric white tablecloth underneath which was covered with breadcrumbs which she duly dusted off with her hand and onto the floor.I would have expected...
