The Guy explained about the Oreo Donuts in 6 flavours and the fried mars bar and fried snickers bar and then shwed us how he makes fresh Belgium waffles. The choice killed us so we tried oreo donuts and a Belgian waffle. The rest is...history. We were like two kids getting messy and loving our donuts. the waffle was great too. We had it with strawberries and Nutella. They've got reeses pieces topping!!! Next time. Need a rest for a while.More
Tried the candy bar donut with a toffee crisp and had a nerds milkshake. Yes a nerd milkshake, it was gorgeous and the best thing was every no and then some nerds came up the straw and gave me that childhood crunch I remember. My...friend had the oreos and a dairy milk hot chocolate. She looked pretty happy I must say. All sugared up it was time to hit the pub for some drinks!More
Tried the fried rolo and oreo candy bar doughnuts from the original crispy candy and co at Alexandra palace on bonfire night and they were absolutely amazing (My friends Oreo milkshake was also amazing)! Wish I could have tried the other doughnuts but couldn't fit...it all in. So no doubt I'll be visiting them in Camden very soon to try the rest! :)More
Visited here last week and tried the mars, oreos and toffee crisp. All nice and not too sickening and heavy on your stomach. If you've got a sweet tooth or want to try it for a new experience, head down to camden stables and try...this place out.More
So bad for you that it tastes so good! I had the fried mars bar and it is delicious and sickly. So much to choose from too. Definitely a once in a lifetime thing for me, but glad I tried it.
Had seen these guys on Instagram so when I paid Camden Market a visit over the weekend I had to treat myself. I had a Double Decker Candy Bar Doughnut. No topping or sauce. Just a sprinkle of sugar. It was Devine!! Not too sickly...either. Certainly warmed me up I a cold February afternoon. Really worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.More
Think iv found my dessert haven in the original crispy co! After a friend posted on Facebook about oreos doughnuts in Camden I made it my mission to find them. Chocolate bars and oreo doughnuts are £3 a pop, my boyfriend and I opted for...a portion of original oreos ( they also stock golden, double stuffed and peanut butter for an extra £1) and a toffee crisp bar. These are the ultimate comfort food, ad the chocolate bars/oreos go all gooey an warm between the batter. I'm not ashamed to say that I ate all 4 of my oreos one after another they were that good. You can also opt for extras such as popping candy, toffee popcorn or sweets on your doughnuts for an additional fee but I just kept it simple - especially as I was actually eating dessert before dinner yesterday evening! The lovely lady who's name I didn't catch was just about to shut up shop but took my order and was very patient when I couldn't decide what I wanted. Shame you don't have any branches in south London but I'll defo be back next time I'm in Camden!More
Having tasted a deep fried Mars Bar in Scotland the previous year, my girlfriend was quite keep to try something else fried. After a quick google search of fried sweets in London we discovered The Crispy Candy Company. My girlfriend and I headed to Camden...excited about out deep fried treat. However, when we got there it was closed. We were most disappointed as we hadn't noticed any dates on their website stating that it would be closed. I emailed them and I was very pleased that I received an email back from them apologising and that they would be open every day of the next week. So the next day, reluctantly we returned to Camden (not so bad as we like browsing the markets) and we made our way to the stall. This time it was open. They have lots of different sweets that come deep fried, from Oreos to Mars Bars. They then cover it in their "secret" buttermilk batter and then deep fry it. I chose the Mars Bar and my girlfriend chose the Lion Bar. I have to say that they were both delicious. I do feel that the batter was a little sweet but it was still tasty. This is not something that I would do every day, but once a year as a little treat? Definitely.More
While recently visiting London, my boyfriend and I found out about this little stand in the Camden Market. Having only ever had a deep fried candy bar once in my life, I knew we had to try it again. We were a bit disappointed on...our first attempt to visit (on a Thursday) because the stall was closed with no signs or anything but we decided to give it another go the next day. I wasn't going home with a deep fried lion bar! There are several different types of candy to choose from to have deep fried. Once they are fried, you get to choose the type of sugar that goes on top and if you want it "fully loaded" which features candy and whipped cream. We decided we didn't need all the extra and just got the original. I had a deep fried lion bar and my boyfriend had a deep fried mars bar - both were delicious! To be honest, I'd say his mars bar was better than my lion bar but both were very good choices. If I'm every in Camden Market again, I'll be back!More
Today, I did something I thought I would never do, but at least now I can say... I have done it. I had a pancake battered Oreo. They had tons of other options, but this one seemed the least damaging.... Oh goodness it was so...delish. Strange because I don't eat Oreos very often, but if I had this available to me I would be happy on the inside, but not so much on the outside.... They had a bunch of choices. The young lady working the stall was very helpful and nice. If you are in Camden and you want to try something sweet that is different... Well this is it?More
