Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great little hidden gem!! Precious and George were very accommodating, spectacularly friendly and informative when it came to London recommendations. Great atmosphere, was my favorite little pub spot in London during our visit. Will definitely be a return patron when I’m back in London. Neck...Oil IPA from Beavertown Brewery also a favorite!More

Lovely pub with great staff. Popped in after a long day sight seeing and were made very welcome. Wish we had called in sooner when not so tired or would have stayed longer. The place appeared to have a great history and had some great...drinks available. Also grateful to them for chasing after us after my wife left her phone on the chair!More

We popped into this pub as our last stop of a night out in London. I wish we had come earlier! The vibe was on point. George, the new manager, and Precious were warm and welcoming, doubling as bartenders and DJs. I highly recommend this...pub for a fun night out and great camaraderie!More

Good real ale on fine form. My ham roll and “crispy things “ quite good except the small crispy bites were a bit soggy but tasty nevertheless.

Came in on a chilly January evening. The place was empty but we didn’t mind as we had the bar to ourselves! Drinks on draft and bottled were great and the bar staff were lovely. The best bit was that we had the jukebox to...ourselves too! We sunk several quid into that bad boy and got to reminisce with some classic tunes and banging tracks, which the bar staff appreciated too! We’d obviously created an atmosphere as the place started to fill up so our impromptu private party had to come to an end. We felt the pressure though as still had a few tracks to be played from our selection on the jukebox! Everyone seemed to enjoy most of them though and we left after having a happy few hours in what turned out to be a little gem of a pub, full of character and well kept. Thank you White Swan for a night to remember!More

I stumbled upon the pub via their chalk board sign. Once inside I was served straight away by friendly bar staff. The choice of beers was good and it seemed I was there just before the lunch time rush. I found the whole experience enjoyable...and relaxing.More

Selling the excellent range of Kent-brewed Shepherd Neame real ales, this modest pub is a sweet spot to muse over a beer and watch the footie. Two rooms that merge into one around a big bar. Friendly Polish staff and a pleasant older clientele. A...classic City of London boozer.More

I go to the White Swan for a drink with my friends before going across the road to the Halal Restaurant , so I have not eaten in the pub. A lovely busy atmosphere with lots of chatting going on. The staff are friendly and...eager to serve you as quick as they can. It is a Shepherd & Neame pub and only sells it's beer but it is always very fresh & healthy when it comes up. Like most London Pubs a bit pricey but that's the way of the world now unfortunately. A good pub to visit you will not be disappointed especially if you get a smile from the lovely blonde serving behind the bar !More

Just went for an early evening drink but found the staff so rude. We had the same drinks twice but the price changed depending who was serving. We had drinks on the bar but the bar staff decided to put all the empty glasses around...our drinks, was unreal, as I've never had this experience in any other pub before. The staff are stroppy under very little pressure, have poor English and limited maths. No chance of going back, and I will complain to brewery.More

Excellent bar on eastern edge of City. Handy for curry houses and pretty good for getting home from even if a short cab ride is required.
