Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a smallish Shep Neame pub in the back streets a short walk from Sloane Square tube station. It’s a single U-shaped room wrapped around the central serving are with a good traditional decor with a tartan style carpet throughout and dark wood panelling on the walls. A decent after work crowd were in for our after work visit and the pub hummed to the sound of lively conversation. And the bar staff were doing a good job to serve the assembled punters promptly. In fact the only thing that detracted from the ambiance was the massive flat TV screen in the front section facing the bar and although muted it dominates this section of the pub and on a midweek early after work evening there was no need for it to be on, especially as it was showing programs no one was paying attention to. I don’t understand why a small pub like this thinks it needs such equipment?
For the record Whitstable Bay, Spitfire and Master Brew were available on the hand pumps and the Whitstable Bay was drinking well for the three hours we were here.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the Passport Office. Pleasantly surprised. Wonderful friendly service. We ate the Fish and Chips and have to say they were very good which is often difficult to find in a London pub. Would definitely revisit when next in the area.

We’ve been to this pub a number times over the last 2 years and always found it to be friendly and welcoming. The pub has seating outside and is located in a quiet and pleasant area not far from Victoria train station and Sloane Square. The overall atmosphere is calm and relaxed the prices of drinks are reasonable and there is a food menu too. Highly recommend visiting this pub.

I popped in for lunch on a Friday, welcomed in by a friendly (possibly Spanish) barman. Good selection of beers (real ales and lagers) and some decent pub grub. Fish and chips was a good portion and fresh. Nice chilled atmosphere with some of the locals - would definitely pop in again.

Had a lovely chicken dinner in this small traditional pub. Staff were friendly and the beer well kept. Liked it so much we went back there after our concert at Cadogen Hall as it's so near the venue and Sloane Street Tube station.

15 visited in a party for a reunion. Person behind the bar so rude that none of us would ever visit again. Shepherd Neame take note.

Nice pub with a good atmosphere and the pint of Guinness was good. Would recommend if you are passing by as worth popping in 👍

We’ve been visiting this pub for 20 years and it hasn’t changed too much during that time (except for occasional minor refurbs). The toilets are still tiny, but apart from that this is a quality Shepherd Neame pub with outside seating and friendly staff.

We went there recently for a late lunch before going to a Carol service at St Marys. We had to book as it is very popular and busy all the time, allthough you can occasionaly get a table outside. The manager gave amazing customer service and was very friendly and helpful. We had the Roast Turkey and the Roast Beef which was glorious, very scrummy and came with absolutely everything. We chose the Passo Doble, Malbec which was delicious and smooth and went down a real treat with the food. To follow had their sticky toffee pudding and ice cream which was lovely. I really cant think of a better place to have a sunday lunch and long to come back and have some more, a '6 Star establishment'!.

Just called in for a beer and the pub was a joy - good selection of Shepherd Neame ales and best of all they take cash!!! Seems like a rarity to find this in London these days

Called into the pub after a visit to the Saatchi Gallery. Good solid English pub food and for London reasonable prices coupled to a good range of draught beers.

Called in on Sunday lunchtime for a drink with friends. A good old-fashioned pub with friendly staff and clientele. Great choice of beers and a decent wine list. Five minutes walk from Sloane Square, just far enough off the beaten track to maintain its ambience.

Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
