Good spot. Always seems to be busy. Consistent with the Wetherspoons model - it does exactly what it says on the tin, and at reasonable prices. Staff are pleasant and efficient. This was not my first visit. I will be back.

After experiencing two drinks for £12.00 in a pub in Paddington Station, we arrived at The Penderel's Oak with a heavy heart thinking of London prices! But no....Three meals and 1 Shiraz, 1 Greene King and 1 Tia Maria came to £29,40!! Excellent service especially from Rich. We LOVE Wetherspoon and this is yet another one to score 10 out... More

Visited here because it was first pub to go into after we left our hotel for a quick cheap drink. Thats all Wetherspoons seem to be good for these days, cheap drinks. We ate here one night and the food was terrible, ordered steak pie, mash and peas. Waited a while and when it did come out, the mash and... More

Penderel's Oak is a light and airy pub. It is clean, with excellent toilet facilities. It is housed in a large area, but it has been skilfully divided up into more intimate seating areas. It is fairly modern in decor, and the furnishings are clean, and the seats comfortable. Like all Wetherspoons, it offers a wide choice of menu and... More

Weatherspoons deliver a good experience in a generally consistent way. The experience was certainly one of the better ones. A pleasant and spacious devour. A warm welcome from friendly staff. A wide selection of beer, wines and spirits. Real ales were a good choice and well kept. Simple menu, but great value, delivered promptly and to a good quality. Fine... More

Visited on a Saturday lunchtime 22 October 2016. The pub was quiet and well staffed. A member of staff cleaned our table when we sat down. A good start, but then it went downhill - rapidly. The Abbot Ale was not on - OK we'll have the London Pride. Then the food. My wife ordered a chicken burger - the... More

So you know what to expect - decent pub food, a variety of good beers, cheap prices, polite staff, toilets that are actually cleaned regularly, no background muzak, and an easy place for a quick pint or meal.

I visited this bar whilst visiting London for a work event and called in for coffee and breakfast. This is a bright and airy pub and reasonably priced for the city. The food was to the usual Wetherspoon standard. The staff friendly and welcoming. A nice pub. A nice find. A nice place.

Great atmosphere. It gets very crowded too. I loved the food here. I tried ribeye, sirloin, mixed grill, and lasagna here. They all went very well with guiness, london pride, and devils backbone beer. Lasagna is a very common thing, but I found one here very tasty. Maybe it was the pork they use here. Not to mention the ribeye... More
