Their website says: “Service is everything and essential”. Unfortunately, on my first visit, this was not the case... Bank Holiday Monday, looking forward to a good, cooked breakfast, I decided to try Pistachios in the Park. Having called ahead to check they were open, and seeing their online menu, I knew what I wanted: a full English. Upon arrival, I... More

I thought coming from the other side of London this was really quirky & a bit different. I do agree with the other trip advisors that the food should be covered tho as you see hands & other such things making contact with all the food. Had a nice chocolate milkshake myself & a baby chino for my daughter. Parents... More

I truly love this place, despite the snaking queues, the irritating parents and toddlers and the general sense of disorganisation. The staff often give the impression of being on work-experience. I second what other reviewers have said about the urgent need for a plastic shield for the cakes. At least seeing people sneezing on them and touching them helps my... More

I have been to this place a couple of times. The first time I am visited I was greeted by a queue of people mainly 30 something middle class mums, with noisy children. Understandably, this is not the managements fault. However it is off putting for other groups of people such as myself, currently I am a university student. However... More

I have been a regular in this cafe for several years; it's a cafe in a park frequented by families. However, I was appalled at the treatment i received on Friday 31 March. I went to the cafe at lunchtime- the vast majority of patrons had children with them: it is a cafe, in a park, during the Easter break.... More

We've been going here regularly for a long time. But we're on the verge of giving it the elbow; or at least keeping the order to coffee and cake. This is because the sandwich etc filling volumes have been sliding down faster than a skateboarder on Vicars Hill. On the last visit, I nearly sent my egg mayonaise baguette back... More

I've been a regular here pretty much every weekend for years. Service could be a little faster, but it is usually friendly and quality is consistently good. Nice toasties, cakes, ice creams. Never disappointed.

We are regulars to this cafe and think the coffee is great and have enjoyed a tasty sandwich there too but we just can't eat the cakes (which we now jokingly refer to as spit cakes!) We've seen them coughed on, touched by people leaning over the counter and handled by kids in the queue. It would be so simple... More

Lovely little cafe with good coffee and ices. So nice to be able to sit in a pleasent park and not have to que up for coffee, and it's a good price. Great views too.

This place would be 5 star except for the display of lovely croissants, cakes etc. which lie uncovered alongside the queue. I saw kids sneezing and coughing over them; even one handling them while the staff seemed oblivious. No way am I going to eat anything from that counter until they sort it out. A simple transparent shield would solve... More
