Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice comfortable pub, but unfortunately, poor customer service. We were a group of six, and popped in here for a few beers. We ordered a round - a couple of Doom Bars, London Pride, a couple of lagers. When ordering the next round, we...were told that both Doom Bar and London Pride were off. We asked if they were going to change the barrels. The response was "maybe later"! They couldn't be bothered. Appalling customer service. We decided to leave. If they are happy to watch six customers walk out to find somewhere else they obviously have too many customers.More

Hi there - thanks for the review. I was the one who served you on Sunday and I can assure you that it was not a case of 'we couldn't be bothered'. Changing ales is not as quick and simple as changing over a keg...More

Thank you for the review! Our ales are flat, but we have a great selection of lagers available if you fancy something fizzier. Hope to see you back soon!

Cool little pub to stop in for a pint. Seems like a local place and bartenders were very friendly. Great atmosphere as well

I was left disappointed from my visit. It is a fair walk from neatest tube but still busy with lots of people having after work drinks. Despite this their seemed a serious lack of staff serving at the bar. When I first arrived only one...person serving whilst other staff ignored you and busied themselves with bar chores that did not need their urgent attention. Staff lacked those smiles and engagement you expect in hospitality. Food was OK. This place has great potential just needs some improvements from management on customer service.More

It was a super busy night and the lady bartender killed it. (in a good way) the place was short staffed and very busy but she handled it like a true pro. Give her ( I forget her name) a pay rise

Having booked a table to EAT, I arrived to be told the pub was cashless ... I don't have a debit card, but had ACTUALL MONEY. Then ... when I waited for my friend to arrive (who had a card), we were told that the...kitchen was closed. When on arrival I asked about ordering food, I was told I couldn't order UNTIL 12.30 ... there was no cut-off time. When we tried to order food we were told it was too late. PLEASE DON'T GO HERE!!!!!More

The food was ok but the fish batter tasted a bit stale. The pie liquor was cold. I didn’t check my bill until after leaving and noticed there was a service charge added to the bill - which was odd…..why? Because we ordered our own...food at the bar! A but if a cheek really - considering we live around the corner I think I’ll try other places.More

Came came straight from the airport after a long flight wanting to experience a true local pub. We hit the spot. We ordered THE LOT, which is all the the small plates on the menu (and a local pint, of course). Food was great, super...fast service, and EXTREMELY friendly staff. Thank you! Feel like we settled in right away, definitely recommended.More

Good location and airy pub. Drinks ok - food dreadful. Possibly the worst cooked and presented Haddock and Chips I’ve ever encountered. The haddock appeared to have been retried. The skin on chips very brown and peculiarly soggy - microwaved perhaps? The crushed peas had...not been sufficiently drained, so was watery. The tartare sauce was ok but clearly out of a jar!!More
