Having had a great meal in October 2019, I came back again to this place for my birthday as I wanted to go somewhere for dinner that I knew I could count on for good food. I was not disappointed! We had the steamed bun, the bread, the crazy pork, the chilli momo, steamed momo, the chilli paneer and it was all fantastic. I will be back again! The people here are also really nice. Great to be able to visit. We were also able to use the eat out to help out scheme which meant our dinner plus drinks was less than £25. I felt safe as well with the distancing measures. A really good night!

I've eaten at Kailash Momo a few times now after my Indian friend introduced me to the restaurant because she said you can't get authentic Indian food easily here and she really highly rates this place and their great Nepalese food. I have had excellent value and very tasty food every time, love the vegetarian chilli momo. The team were also very helpful and friendly one night recently when I ordered a takeaway for delivery from Ubereats which resulted in complete chaos caused by Uber. Thanks to KM for helping me out that evening, we will be back after lockdown number 2.

We had 2 days at an Excel Exhibition, staying at an Airbnb in Woolwich Arsenal and needed a decent restaurant. Being honest everywhere looked rough, so we thought best use Trip Advisor. The Kailash Momo seemed popular and had good reviews. From where it was situated and how it looked from the outside, we very nearly didn’t go in. But we thought, there really aren’t any other options …. So we went inside. So here we go; the young manager was great and the staff were friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We just wanted to order lots of starters and small plates and they were ok with that. The Nepal Beer was excellent !! And the Food was Fantastic !!! Every Dish !!! We have eaten everywhere and the food at Kailash Momo is 100% top of the table !! As we were eating, we noticed the place was packed and they had to turn people away. The restaurants reputation was all that mattered, not where it was or the exterior. People only came for the food. If there was ever a restaurant team that needed an opportunity to open somewhere more befitting the standard of their food, it’s the team at the Kailash Momo Restaurant (Woolwich Arsenal). 10/10 for the whole team 💥

Man I ordered my all time fav pork chowmein and my boyfriend ordered pork momo . My boyfriend’s brother doesn’t eat pork but just to let him know that kailash serves the best momo gave him a piece . He said the meat was hard and cold . We thought he was messing with us and my boyfriend had the next momo he said what’s with the meat and then I took another piece . The momo was like warm but inside the meat was cold and hard and smelled a bit . I was like so mad cause like something was always not served quite right . And the waitress there has a different attitude which I don’t like . So unfriendly, customer service alu jasto . She just gives you a different vibe . So I went with the momo and told her and followed her to the kitchen . Then the boss comes up and starts saying we are lying and it can’t be . Then I see the male boss looking at us and gossiping. I went up to reception and narrated the whole situation cause he is the owner and thought he might understand that we are not blaming your company it’s the momo that was not good . He was like I can’t take this if you say smth about the company and I was like look I’m your daily customer and I have had issues but I love the chowmein and momo so much I end up coming here every time giving you guys chances despite you disappointing us but still going there for authentic food and getting dissatisfied often and while talking to boss about everything , he was not listening and was arguing back . Where is the consistency? Where is the good customer service? Okay so ever since I tried their momo once in Dec 2020 it was the best and I always suggested other’s their pork momo’s . After I shifted to London . Once the momo was cold we asked them to return and they did and got us warm one . My boyfriend said that we will never come to this restaurant from the food they served and also because of the waitress’s attitude . Then on the other visit asked the male waiter if the lalmon is served warm and he said it’s warm , but lalmon (gulabjamun) served cold asked to return and got warm one . Then my boyfriend and his brother took a take away of two chicken momo’s to have it in the park . If regular customer’s opinion is not valued and you keep on saying that we are lying when we love your food and actually keeping this ego and arguing back . Below some proof of how much I have loved this restaurant besides having good service from the waitress and some cold momo’s and lalmon . I have paid for the food , I’m starving and when I come to get some good food being served cold food pisses me off . I’m not just here to blame your food or fake it , I ain’t got time for that ! Spread good energy , stay consistent with the food but also never visiting this place ever again

Dear Customer, your reviews is much appreciated as it gives us an insight into what the customers think of our food. With food and service in the hospitality industry we try our best to stay as consistent as possible- however there is always cracks and faults in our effort to being consistent which might explain why at evening times during our busy hours, some food may come Luke warm due to the volume or orders that needs to be served and etc. With our response to customer complaints, we will always try to hear our customers out and never reject feedback however if we feel that we are being verbally threatened or customers are being rude- then management will take the appropriate action to act on behalf of the safety and well-being of the staff of Kailash Momo. Many thanks

Their food isnt even great to begin with, but that wouldn't have been a problem at all if it weren't for their discriminative actions. The owner specially treats his own country's people with low respect and a sort of disgust (from my judgement of his face) while on the other hand he is really nice and charming to english or any other non - Nepalese people. This really shows how this guy has shallow way of looking and treating people all based on their nationality and looks . I would really suggest all Nepalese folks to observe this behaviour of this man and rather go to neighbouring Nepalese restuarants who actually treat you like guests and welcome you. Over all i felt that they were just really ungrateful towards their customer (Particularly Nepalese )and specially with their very buddhist theme going on in the restaurant it just come off as hipocracy that they out of all would start discriminating people based on nationality.

Hello, we are sorry to hear that you felt discriminated in the restaurant by the owner but he usually only pops in at random times to check in on how the restaurant is operating. The restaurant is usually busy at evening times which im sure you would understand can make the people working to often be clumsy and careless with the attitude they show to customers. So i would like to assure you that this isnt how our ‘nepalese customers’ are treated.

My partner and I recently visited Kailash Momo at Woolwich for dinner. Incredibly fond of momos, we were quite excited to try them here. Alongside chicken momos, we also ordered sel roti and chicken chowmein. While the quantity of the momos was fantastic—especially for the price—we didn't particularly enjoy the flavour. We had a similar experience with the chicken chowmein too, which we doused in their delicious chilly sauce to make it more edible. The sel roti, surprisingly, was one of the more enjoyable dishes and was accompanied by flavourful condiments. The service, though impersonal, was quick, and the restaurant was clean and lively.

We ordered two veg chilli momos and veg chowmein. Veg momos was very thick layered with very less filling. Veg filling was only potatoes and pea. There was no taste at all. I am very disappointed with the momos as they are specialised in Momos. Would not recommend to anyone who is looking to eat good momos.

My family and I really loved our dinner here. Based on seeing all the reviews, I had high expectations, which I’m happy to report were realized. We went in on a Wednesday evening and the place was lively but there was still a few tables. We also saw they have an usual ordering system (or, at least, one we’ve never encountered before). You write the number of each item you want and the quantity. When the waitress comes along, she takes the paper. I can see how this is pretty efficient and overcomes language barriers. The food was amazing and all came out quickly. We had the paneer appetizer and it was stunning as well as bringing the heat. I actually love how they don’t warn you it’s spicy. You are in a Nepalese restaurant, after all, so what else would you expect? Everything else was amazing, especially the deep fried bread which was one of the most wonderful things I’ve ever sampled. Appetizer, beer, wine, juice, bread, and three meals came in at 48£ to feed three people incredible food. What a value! I already want to go back. Do not miss the opportunity to try this gem.

This was just an ordinary friends night out in Woolwich. A few locally brewed beers at the popup Market in the Arsenal topped off with a meal at a restaurant specialising in Nepalese and Indian food. In these extraordinary times this was an occasion worth savouring but I didn't appreciate how much until I had eaten my plate of vegetable momos. If the filling wasn't tasty enough then the delicious dipping sauces, hot but not overpowering, enhanced the experience. Could it get any better? Well yes. The vegetable Thali, a tapas of many small dishes served with rice, a naan and small poppadom arrived. I was transported from Woolwich to North India and beyond as each of the flavourful dishes and layers of spices washed over my palate. A remarkable culinary find on the edges of London and one of the best meals I have ever had. Friendly staff who appreciated a well deserved compliment with modesty. Don't miss the opportunity as there are changes ahead for Central Woolwich and some of these places may not be around in the future. All the best Kailash Momo.

Me and my friends had ordered 2 Gurkha beers. However one beer was flat, and could be clearly seen so we requested politely to exchange this. However, the owner argued that he had not opened the bottle previously and was opened before our eyes therefore he could not exchange it? The way he spoke was also very unprofessional and it was very awkward when he said that so we decided to let it go. I also noticed that the owner and its staff tend to discriminate its customers. I noticed that the table next to mine were English peeps, therefore they did the food check and the staff were chatty and smiley to them, ensuring everything was alright. However, On my side of the table (being nepali) they had not even asked us once if everything was ok? The girl who served us barely spoke to us and had zero customer service. No thank you, please or any greetings. I use to be a regular customer of Kailash and it wasn’t like this before. Therefore I’m really sad and shocked to see this kind of service provided by them. I hope they treat every customers equally with respect. I bet if it was an English person asking for a flat beer exchange, they would immediately do so. However being a Nepali customer, I was refused and I was more embarrassed actually. I will sadly never visit there again.

Dear Hilda, speaking as the general manager i am very sorry to hear that you felt discriminated against on the day of your travel to our restaurant. However in the case of the beer, i can confidently assure you without any bias views that we never serve any open capped beers to our customer instead we would offer this to our staff after their shift ends. If you used to be a ‘regular customer’ as you mentioned i am sure you would know of our friendly customer service we provide which would be a reason why you would return. However this does not excuse the behaviour that our owner displayed on the day, and as mentioned before it was not a case of discrimination but a confusion in the midst of the situation and in the case of the girl, she is a newly trained employee hence the reason why she hadnt asked if everything was ok as the same with all tables. We hope you spare this situation and continue to be a regular customer of ours and we hope to see you soon! Yours Kailash Momo team

I am huge fan of Kailash and regular customer both eat in and takeaway. But this time I ordered takeout, I am very disappointed. I ordered steamed momos , chilli momos, sukuti and Bhutan set. There was no sauce send for steamed momo, I don’t know what they thought how we gonna eat steamed momo without sauce. Chilli momo was terrible… it was full of chilli flakes only, very dry with no sauce. Sukuti was completely drowning in chilli oil…. The bag of food was full of oil coming out from sukuti. Hope this things will never happen again

I eat here regularly. Service and food and prices are fab. In an era where restaurants charge the earth for tiny amounts of mediocrity, Kailash gives you generous and delicious food. I am even going to eat here on my birthday as I resent paying over the odds!

My partner and we went last week to this restaurant due a recommendation, and we were very impressed for the amount of food and quality. Small restaurant but very cozy with good service, we definitely will come back to try different dishes. I liked when the menu has photos about how it looks the dishes.

Just enjoyed another delicious home delivered meal from the wonderful Kailash Momo. We've eaten here for many years and it never disappoints. Tonight we tried a jar of their new recipe homemade chilli sauce - mmmm! - its the best! We've always loved having it in the restaurant but great to be able to bring it home too.

Most delicious meal I've had in ages. I had the special veg thali and the butter tea. Somehow I almost managed to finish it (it's a LOT of food) because my tastebuds just couldn't stop! The chickpeas in particular were amazing.
