Don’t waste your time. We went to Oblix to finish off a nice date day. Turned up, it was so disorganised. The staff we super rude especially the guys greeting you at the door. (Asian dude, scruffy beard) Apart from the view this is not...a special place. You put this bar on ground level it would be out of business within a month. I always try and pick the positives when writing reviews but for this I have none.More

We had a wonderful meal here celebrating my 40th birthday, the food was outstanding! The lobster was so good! But the service was the highlight for me! We were served by the french maitre d/waiter and he really was the start of the show! He...was fantastic! The views are the best in the city!More

I was very excited to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday at Oblix but the whole experience was very disappointing. Set menu was below average,it comes with a bottle of wine however since we don’t drink wine, we requested the staff to change our drink which...they refused... the food was abysmal , 2 prawns starter was drenched in a so called cocktail sauce which was basically a mixture of Mayo and ketchup , burrata was tasting very average like it was store bought from any grocery store and slapped on a plate with baby tomatoes. Main course of wagyu beef burger didn’t taste good at all and crab linguine was like a bowl of instant noodles with the tiniest pieces of lobster I’ve ever seen. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone for any special occasion. We came from so far away and the experience was far from the expectations.More

Visited the olbix east for dinner and wee were both disappointed in a number of things. Although very picturesque and has lovely views of London we were very disappointed by service, food quality and value for money. Firstly, if I am being totally honest we...were completely ignored most of the evening as if we were not a priority not sitting at a window seat. Our glasses were often empty and our plates sat for minimum 10 minutes completely empty before they were taken away. Waiters were quite passive. Secondly, the food was not fantastic. The menu was incredibly limited and when arrived my chicken looked a little pink. It seemed a lot to pay for a chunk of battered chicken and mashed potatoes. Burger was very average. Finally, the cocktails were massively overpriced. £20 for a cocktail is ridiculous and it wasn’t even garnished. Just a glass. Overall we paid £200 for an average dinner, bottle of wine and a cocktail. In fairness you can check the menu before but still expected more.More

We booked last minute and we’re lucky to get a window seat booking online. All I can say is the service was great and the food was really tasty. Combine that with the view and atmosphere and it was a fantastic afternoon tea at the...oblix 👍More

So disappointed. I booked this for my husband’s birthday and believed I had paid the extra £5 each for a window seat. On arrival, I was told that I hadn’t booked this and there were no window tables. I told them how disappointed I was...and did they know it was a birthday, which they said they did. One of the senior team then came and said that they were right and I was wrong and if I didn’t like it I could leave. This disturbed me even more - along with they didn’t like my tone. Wow I have eaten in restaurants the world over and never been treated like this. So much substance over experience.More

We went there for afternoon tea. It was pleasant and the view was great. It was clean and the service was good. The food was a good standard. Would I return, probably not as we asked about the service charge and we were told that...the shard staff did not receive it. We therefore tipped them separately on top of the service charge. They also told me that they were on the minimum wage. Its really the type of place I would support.More

Wife very kindly organised a weekend in the Shard and a meal in Oblix on Saturday evening. Had a few cocktails in the Gong Bar first where the views were amazing and the staff attentive and then moved onto Oblix where my wife had organised...to meet some friends. Omg, total mayhem, was like going to a themed restaurant at Euro Disney where they had hired totally inexperienced staff and no one knew what they were doing. After waiting 10 mins in a queue, got sent to a table where we sat for another 10 minutes. No water, no menus, no drinks, nothing. Finally managed to get hold of a waiter and asked very politely whether we could order some drinks to which he replied “I’ll come back”. Then got up and spoke to another member of staff to ask for some service. Again, nothing. Finally got to speak to the manager who was very apologetic and frankly if not for her I was about to just walk out. She said, they were understaffed and very busy. Food was average, tuna starter was so small and the pasta dish was Holiday Inn standard. Sadly I will never be going back to this restaurant. On the flip side the Shard was absolutely incredible, throughly recommend.More

20+ for cocktails only. We’ll presented, tasty, innovative selection of cocktails. Great views obviously and great atmosphere. Not stuffy and allowed pics to be taken etc. Absolutely perfect.

We booked a table for my husband’s birthday dinner celebration as the last I came time here which was 5 years ago, I enjoyed very much. This time however was such a disappointment especially for my husband who had high expectations for his first visit....The food was lovely especially the mashed potatoes, Sea bass was nice and crispy and the dessert in the end was very refreshing. However, the starters were a let down - crispy squid is salty and the prawn cocktail which my husband had was not as flavourful. His steak and fries were ok. But it was the service that really made this whole experience upsetting. The staff weren’t as attentive, we tried several times to get attention to our table but they were too busy talking. In the end managed to get someone’s attention who was very friendly and got our dessert menu. Once we ordered the exotic fruits and sorbet along with my husband’s cocktail drink, we spent the entire time relaxing in the ambience with an almost empty restaurant. Also had more opportunities to take pictures when the dessert came but the drink never did. In the end we decided it was time to go, just finished the food and got our bill. I would recommend coming here for the view but be warned you need to pay £10 to get the table by the window. The food is nice, the service a let down maybe improve that a little I’ve seen better service in my local french restaurant.More
