I've been a few times as I live close by and the location is lovely overlooking the Thames. However, every time there is a long wait at the bar, staff seem bored, the tables are not cleaned often, and when plates and glasses are removed, the tables are not wiped so we have to sit with remains of previous guests'... Would of demanded money back ,but we was in company and by now,was willing to eat a horse 😀,and just to finish the whole experience of...the chef came from kitchen to the bar with a chefs jacket... We stopped here for an early Friday evening meal. The downstairs area was quite noisy, the music was too loud, so we went upstairs and found a nice table by the window. It was quiet there until a big group arrived and sat down nearby. The service at the bar was friendly and quick. The menu has the usual British... More

The food here is fine: not special but fine. But, the staff seem inexperienced and uninterested. While I was ordering drinks at the bar, two very young men were discussing their summer festival plans together, and ignoring me. My husband told staff that there was no toilet paper in the gents, and when he went again later, there still wasn't... More

We always go there after training in local college. The place is a great spot- right by the river, spacious inside and outside so good for any kind of weather. What's very unfortunate about the place are the people three-year the staff I mean. They are terribly slow so you'll see a queue at the bar at all times and... More

We went on a lovely (predicted) sunny day. Four deep at the bar, bar staff beyond bad at recognising who is next, I really should have remembered from previous visits when it was quiet. When I got to the bar they suddenly announced the kitchen was now closed, 4pm on a Sunday. Never going back.

This is an excellent place for a nice lazy lunch on a beautiful sunny day basking in the sun outside by the river. We came early and ordered straight away. Enjoying the view and drinks without worrying about when the food will arrive.
