We've eaten at Bugis Street, in the Copethorne Tara Hotel, twice and really enjoyed Mee Goreng and Kung Po Chicken, but didn't enjoy the chicken satay. The staff in the restaurant are very attentive, but our meal for two has worked out quite expensive without any alcohol.

My family and I stayed at the Copthorne Tara Hotel from March 13-March 18. We didn't have a lot of time before going to the theatre so we decided to just eat dinner at the hotel. We love Chinese food so we chose Bugis Street Restaurant. I had the prawns with pan fried noodles, my mom had the sweet and... More

This was one the best Chinese meals I have ever had. The staff were polite, pleasant and very helpful. The food was delicious especially the Crispy Aromatic Duck. The meal was value for money.

I had dinner here after a long day tour. I ate here because it is inside the hotel where I'm staying. I just walked in with my backpack and a bottle water. When the waitress took my order, she had a strange look on her face (like I did something wrong), she look at my bottled water strangely when she... More

WE only had a limited time to eat before we had to get our train back to Lancashire. We were in the company of our son's in laws who are Chinese Malay and eat here quite a lot. Our food chosen was the lunch buffet inc Laksa soup, belly pork, Singapore noodles and the like. The food was well presented... More

Had dinner here as part of our stay in the hotel. Food was really nice and staff very helpful. We were not sure of what to eat and the waiter helped us with the specialities. We ordered sea bass and some king prawns with rice. It was all very good. Price is very good so totally value for money.

We visited this very upscale restaurant purely as we were staying in the Tara Hotel, but it is so good, we would have willingly travelled out to it. An elegant, almost 'clubby' colonial decor with elegant and well spread out tables. The service is elegant and courteous. The food is wonderfully authentic and as well as a good selection of... Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
