Hi, I am incredibly sorry that you were mistakenly sold an incomplete box of tea. I will be sending out a notice to all staff to ensure that this is something that is always checked before sale to make sure it does not happen again....More

We stopped in here based on Tripadisor reviews. The food and service was average, the decor not so much whimsical as just old and worn. Limited menu. We wished we had waited to find something better.

I visited here for lunch with my daughter. Although not exceptionally busy, service was very slow and I had to go up and ask whether we had to order at the counter. There appeared to be only one waitress, who had to make the drinks...More

Visited for afternoon tea, with 2 other ladies; the selection of cakes were great both in quantity and quality! Sandwiches could have been better and should consider using wholemeal bread. Service was okay but the waitress clearly needed a hand with running the shop as...More

This was exactly what I thought a little English tea shop would be. It is cozy and eclectic, with cute little tables. I had a pot of tea and pain au chocolat, which was very good. Others were having a full breakfast which looked good....More

This cafe does not serve leaf tea and is really just for tourists. They charge as though they were serving real tea but takes half an hour to deliver a teabag in a packet in a cold cup. Teapots full of hot water are placed...More

Cute tea shop close to Buckingham palace and Victoria train station. Was very easy to get to. Seating area is clean and decorated nicely. During my stay I had a lot of English breakfast tea (3 cups) and a serving of chips. The chips are...More

Upon arrival we wasn't greeted by any member of staff, until another member of the public walked in 5 minutes later and asked who was waiting for a table. When we eventually got to the table it was very squashed. We then waited a further...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are

The English Rose is a warm, welcoming cafe and tea room just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria. We are an independent English family run cafe and catering business. We pride ourselves on our 'everything from scratch' attitude, with all our food being completely home-made, including our delicious cakes and scones! The English Rose is like an escape to a cosy Grandma's living room complete with gilt-rimmed mismatch china cups and saucers, picture filled walls, and an old (playable!) piano. Open 7 days a week, providing amazing eat-in and take-away prices (especially for painfully expensive central London!), The English Rose is the place for a little break from your standard cafe!
