In this restfully decorative eatery we enjoyed a tasty breakfast. We opted for two different types of scrambled eggs. Accompanied with coffee and cappuccino all were grand. Staff were welcoming and pleasantly attentive throughout. A fine commencement to a lovely day.

I met a friend for a catch-up here and had the worst coffee I've had in months. The prices seem average-low for central London and the servers were friendly. Judging by the other visitors it's aimed towards tourists.More

I had a simple afternoon tea. Loved the scones and sweets. Savory sandwiches were very basis, but good. The staff was very attentive. This is not a high priced afternoon tea. The decor is sweet a d cozy..

Took shelter whilst waiting for the tour coach, a real find, warm welcoming and a really unique ambience. Only had time for tea, shame because we could have happily enjoyed something to eat, next time perhaps. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the bill....More

We had just been unceremoniously dropped-off outside Buckingham Palace by our tour bus but our tour wasn't for 2 hours yet and it was pouring with rain. What to do? Lunch at the English Rose Cafe. A really welcome sight. And a warm welcome. What...More

We were quite excited to eat scones with clotted cream and jam until we actually tried these scones. My husband suggested that perhaps English scones were all heavy and dry, however, I don't believe this to be true and although 20 years has passed since...More

Description
The English Rose is a warm, welcoming cafe and tea room just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of Victoria. We are an independent English family run cafe and catering business. We pride ourselves on our 'everything from scratch' attitude, with all our food being completely home-made, including our delicious cakes and scones! The English Rose is like an escape to a cosy Grandma's living room complete with gilt-rimmed mismatch china cups and saucers, picture filled walls, and an old (playable!) piano. Open 7 days a week, providing amazing eat-in and take-away prices (especially for painfully expensive central London!), The English Rose is the place for a little break from your standard cafe!
