Le Délice, Café and Restaurant inspired by Mediterranean Cuisine, is located in the heart of Walthamstow, East London. We are happy to welcome you from 7:30am until 11pm mondays to saturdays and from 8am until 11pm on sundays. Pop in anytime you want for a sweet break or a delicious meal.

Stopped in to get a takeaway pizza. Good prices and the lady serving us was so welcoming and polite. Pizza wasn’t bad but wasn’t incredible, still enjoyable and like I said before, well priced. Would definitely like to come back and try the breakfast menu which looks very lovely.

Nice relaxed place to meet and chat with old friends. Good vegan main course selection :-) but zero vegan desserts :-(. And no alcohol (though you can bring your own).

Had the veggie breakfast which was decent. Looks like a good place for lunch’s with nice food in the cabinet. However, staff seemed unhappy and too bothered about anything on the day.

Ordered 2 pizzas through Justeat, around 1.5 hour ago, got notification that its on its way , and after waiting more than 1 hour they cancelled the order. They didnt pick up the phone either, and now the restaurant is closed of course. How could any restaurant or takeaway place do this without any notice? Its just unacceptable

Dear Barbara,
we are very sorry for your experience.
Just short explanation - we are not allowed to cancel order from our site on Just Eat platform. If we have extremely busy day - we are sending our orders max within 40 min waiting time. The issue is with drivers availability - please note we are NOT using own drivers but Just Eat delivery partners. As soon there is an order waiting 10 min we are contacting Just Eat to chase drivers. Unfortunately that is the only thing we can do. Just Eat doesn't support option to collect if customer is happy to do so. I do not understand why Just Eat would decide to cancel your order, they need to confirm with us as for us that means lost money and might lead to lost customer.
At this moment we are planning to hire our own drivers to avoid situation like this as delivery partners let us down few times.
Believe me we work really hard to send fresh food to our customers.
We wish you all the best and hope you will give us one more chance.

I've been going to Le Delice on Hoe St. frequently with friends and family for the last three years and I cannot recommend it enough. I was compelled to write this review having seen some negative reviews based on isolated bad experiences (and some user reviews that cannot discern the difference between a delivery service and a restaurant).
There are some other great places to eat in Walthamstow, but consistent quality of food, service and reasonable prices have kept me coming back time after time. Price wise, it's cheaper than the newer wave of restaurants and cafes moving into Walthamstow and comparable to any equivalent cafe in the UK. You won't find a lunch as satisfying for the same price in a one mile radius.
The food is delicious - a great mix of Mediterranean cafe breakfast/lunch options and the best Sunday roast I've had that wasn't home cooked. I've always received excellent service, even when they're stressed out with busy times; they're personable and warmly receptive to friendly customers.
Highly recommend!

I ordered from the restaurant as I needed food delivered and I know that this place usually serves delicious food and is a nice place to eat.
For a delivery it was very expensive as the portions were small and crammed into the containers and looked awful. The avocado was not fresh and they didn’t even cut the brown bits off. Salad cost extra even though it should have come with the meal and I felt that they couldn’t be bothered. If I was at the restaurant I would have returned it for a replacement. Not impressed.

Walked in and my order was taken by a very pleasant female at the till.
Ordered the Vegetarian breakfast which I wasn't impressed with at all when it arrived, the scrambled egg was a colour I have never seen egg before, verging on the grey and the thick, foam like appearance is something I hope never to see anywhere again.
Cherry Cheesecake tasted far from fresh, one bite was enough.
The waitress when clearing the table didn't even ask how everything was, in the service industry that should be a given. I just don't think they care enough there.
Worst was the clientele, after I sat down one ruffian after another walked in, there was one in particular who came in talking very loudly on his phone, sat down and played loud music until he left.
Management should have done something about that, because things like that to lose you custom very quickly.
This was my first time here, it will be my last.

thank you for your review.
Regarding your complain about scrambled eggs - we use free range eggs delivered 3x a week and we will investigate why your eggs were grey.
Cheesecake we bake night before, it is a baked cheesecake which might appear bit hard comparing with cold cheesecake.
We welcome all the nice mixture of local customers, we are not selective and if someone was too loud and you brought it to our attention we would take an action for sure.

Just collected lunch for office and very disappointed . Food used to be lovely . Both Jacket Pots cold and hard - had to put potato in office microwave to heat up so pointless so might as well have done my own potato. Waste of money !

Yesterday, my friend and I decided to try out this restaurant. The staff made us very welcome and the food was excellent. We came for brunch and both chose dishes newly added to the menu. I went for the Breakfast Pancake and my friend went for the Indian Style Sandwich. Both dishes were delicious and we were served quickly.
In addition, the coffees are delicious and the restaurant offers options for various dietary restrictions, such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and halal.

Dear Brad,
Our Chai tea is £1.60 (brand is Taylors of Harrogate - not a cheap one) and rolls are £2.50 - £3.50.- (depends on the filling) in store. If you ordered through one of our online ordering platform with our delivery partners - there is an additional commission fee. I believe chai tea is £2.20 and price for roll doesn't exceed £4.-.
I am really sorry you were not satisfied, for a while I was thinking it must be some different shop but through the lock down we were one of the few shops who managed to stay opened.

Terrible experience. One breakfast had missing items (no turkey bacon) and a cold quarter of a tomato masquerading as a portion of cooked tomatoes. The other had undercooked eggs and burnt toast. Terrible presentation. Expensive for the price. Money refunded for one breakfast and realised upon leaving that they even short changed us on that. Do not eat here.
