Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My boyfriend’s local pub, it’s our favourite date night pub! Food is delicious and a big range of alcoholic and soft drinks. Family friendly as well!

Almost the perfect pub, good food, good beer selection and a great pint of Guinness. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the front of house (gave our dog a treat) and our waitress, food was lovely, highly recommend the venison pie. My...only gripe would be the £7.25 I had to pay for a pint of Neck Oil but I guess we were in Wimbledon! All in all a lovely time and we’ll definitely be back.More

Came for dinner last Friday. Lovely pub. Felt very welcoming. All very efficient and lovely ladies who looked after us. We shared the whipped cod’s roe to start (just like my mum used to make!) - delicious! Then burgers and a fish and chips. All...very tasty. The pies looked very good that were served on the table next to us. 40 minute wait for them to be freshly cooked. We were too hungry to wait, but will plan better and have next time. Thanks to all involved. Lovely evening. Parking - plenty of free parking on nearby roads. You can pay to park in the daytime on same roads, easier if you download ringo app first 🙂More

Lovely welcome walking in, nice warm fire. Perfectly kept beer (black sheep in particular), just had a quick bite but it was delicious. Staff attentive but not overbearing. Big thank you to Victoria, Vincent and Savannah, with extra kudos to the landlord for his beer...keeping.More

Food was excellent I had the liver which was delicious. However the service was very slow we had arrived at 12.45 and I had to leave in a hurry at 2.30 having just had two courses. We also had to ask for desert menus rather...than being offered them.More

Wow. Food was fantastic, hosting by Andrew was amazing and what’s best just off the park. Went for a lovely stroll followed by a roast. First time here and would 100% go again!

Undoubtedly my favourite, if the not the best, pub in London. The atmosphere is of a cheery place: warm and welcoming in winter, airy and an often packed lawn outside in the summer, local faces, regulars, tourists from afar, dog walkers, cyclists, cheery crowds, the...dogs themselves, the almost-resident cat Charlie, the beer, the food, the attentive staff and impressive service, no music (good! this is a real pub where people talk to each other). What's not to love? Coming in on a somewhat dreary Monday afternoon and the place is buzzing with life, staff busying themselves ready for the evening, and the landlord holding court with customers. The food really is excellent and for those who have a healthy appetite it is well worth booking a Sunday roast and coming with an empty stomach. Tuesdays are quiz nights and every month the landlord leads an interactive masterclass on brewing and storing real ale giving customers the chance to tap a barrel or two. Late last year a highly successful ale festival saw some excellent guest bitters on tap and there are regular happenings and events throughout the year. Must also mention a fine array of non-alcoholic and very low alcoholic beers as well as the regular appearance of some good examples from Small Beer on tap (Bermondsey). There's little excuse not to visit if you're having a dry January... Menus are clearly printed and hold allergy information and there are lunch/snack menus as well.More

A pub with an enjoyable country-side atmosphere, good fish & chips, and snobbish service. The barkeeper did not bother to tell us how much our order was, even when asked, and just held the card machine in front of our face in a way that...we couldn't see the amount, despite us asking for the amount. This happened at every order - we felt he looked down his nose at us, perhaps because we weren't locals.More
