I love the sun trap outdoor area situated within a historic Belgravia mews. Great vibe after work or before a show. Food is quick and very reasonably priced, the landlord makes you feel like an old Freind (Afrim). Have been coming here for years and will do for many more

Hidden in a beautiful cobbled street in Belgravia, we've been coming to the Horse & Groom for a number of years and for a number of reasons but first and foremost, for Afrim & his team. Our go to for after work drinks, lunches, birthdays, leaving dos, reunions and everything in between - they always go above and beyond to make sure we have the best time. The food is delicious with an extensive menu, the service is always quick, friendly and high on quality and needed after numerous inevitable drinks! We've spent many late nights here as it's just impossible to leave! The location is perfect with space to sit outside on warmer summer evenings which is hard to come by in London! Thoroughly recommend if you are looking for somewhere with charm, fair prices, amazing food and hosts! (Gemma P x)

The Horse and Groom is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. My wife and I were visiting the area and decided to try lunch there. Immediately we were welcomed by the pub landlord who made us feel very welcome and special. We enjoyed every minute of being in such a friendly, warm and inviting pub. Not only did we enjoy the variety of drinks on offer, but we enjoyed a delicious meal from the amazing menu. For these reasons we would rate it with 5 stars.

One of few remaining traditional pubs in London. Service is exceptional. Food is very good value, especially the lamb kofta and chicken skewers. The chicken wrap which is a special is fantastic and highly recommended.

What a wonderful little gem of a pub. The landlord, Afrim, looked after us so well and the staff, particularly Michael, made us feel at home so quickly. We stumbled on the pub through a Google search and so glad we did. Lunch was delicious and best value considering London is not cheap, if you’re in London you have to come here, it makes your visit so worthwhile. 5 🌟

My wife and I are avid Beatles fans. We had read that Brian Epstein lived (and sadly died) in an apartment around the corner from this pub. Before their stratospheric rise to international fame, the Fab Four used to meet with Epstein in The Horse and Groom for business meetings and socials. We wanted to sit inside and experience the atmosphere of a location which has a part in major social history. We decided to have some lunch and a drink whilst there. Three points: 1. The pub is amazingly lovely, being over three hundred years old and an example of a bygone mode of transport and the life associated with it. The interior echos the antiquity of the pub and relaxed, friendly & welcoming. 2. On the walls are black and white photos of the Beatles taken in the days of when they would have frequented this pub. This adds highly to the sense of nostalgia and curiosity. 3. The food was great. If you are looking for haut cuisine, bugger off to some other venue where you'll be charged the earth. If however, you like an authentic old London pub with a fascinating history, good friendly service and nice food, do visit this charming little pub.

The bar is tucked away at the end of a quiet street. Nice atmosphere inside and out. Lovely staff who make everyone feel welcome. A gentleman seated at a table next to us had gluten allergy and the staff went out of their way to accommodate him. At 8:15 pm on a Tuesday, the pub was full outside and in. We enjoyed our drinks which were good and reasonably priced. The burgers were disappointing. My burger was cooked fine, still had some traces of pink in the middle. My husband’s was overcooked. The buns were barely toasted and were mushy. The tomatoes were sliced too thick and were shooting out of the burgers with every bite. Even the chips weren’t crispy. Come for a drink but not the food.

Really lovely and friendly pub in a beautiful mews location in Belgravia a short walk from Buckingham Palace. The landlord and staff are very welcoming and it was a nice atmosphere. We were starving hungry so had the fish and chips which was really fresh and a generous portion. They serve champagne 🍾 and some nice beers so we were both happy! Had a great night and found out their Sunday lunch is very popular as well.

I’ve drunk in here for years, sadly now not as often as I’d like because I live on the other side of town. Mary and Aiden were consummate publicans, and made the place a haven for everyone with a thirst and a sense of humour. Afrim is the new landlord and he has stepped up from longtime barman to landlord. Always offering a warm greeting and occasionally some illicit Albanian moonshine, he will continue the tradition of exceptional hospitality at the Horse & Groom. (Plus he’s fixed up the gents bathroom)

My father and I first visited this wonderful hidden gem a few years ago, found by word of mouth. It is without question 'The Best Pub In London'. Owner Afrim and barman Micheal will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the Horse and Groom has become a staple of our father/daughter days out in London. #nowhereelselikehere.

We popped in here after a morning and afternoon of sight seeing. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine and sandwiches and both were very good. Since it was almost mid-afternoon, it was pretty quiet but we loved the decor and the staff was very friendly. We hope to return again!

The most welcoming pub in London. We had been at an event at the Irish Embassy for our people the Irish Travellers and other groups. Very often landlords turn us away but this gentleman welcomed us with open arms and even rearranged the seating! A cosy traditional pub with a great atmosphere..but the landlord is the star! I'll be back!

We went for an 80th birthday party for my wife. Afrim, the owner, provided us with an. excellent selection of finger food, very filling and very tasty. It was easy to arrange and everyone who came, 14 of us, said they enjoyed it. I would recommend The Horse and Groom to anyone looking for a venue for an anniversary. Garry

I don’t usually write reviews but felt the need to. I can literally say hands down this is the BEST pub in London by far. Such a cute hidden gem. Not only is the location amazing but the staff are fantastic, always going the extra mile. Afrim the landlord is always super helpful and accommodating. Delicious food and really fun atmosphere. Well done guys, keep up the great work! You truly are doing an excellent job and are a credit to the London pub scene! If you are reading this review, def pay the Horse and Groom a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
